“In short, a great looking and flying plane. ....probably my best flying warbird ever in every aspect. I have to admit I love Spitfires. Here are some pics of my weathered Norwegian Spitfire:https://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showpost.php?p=38049788&postcount=1114”
“I ordered this spitfire and have got to say it is overall the greatest quality a foamy can be. The build was easy and and clear from the instructions and went together nicely. On its maiden flight, i was quite nervous about its flying characteristics and how it would perform. But once i throttled up and it lifted the ground, my worries were rested... The spitfire flies so beautifully, definitely a cruiser, It's fast, agile, and has plenty of power. And probably the best thing about the spitfire is its Vertical! It just continues climbing until i have to force it back to earth! Such a great plane and is now the number 1 plane in my hangar. Some tips are to put about 10% of up elevator mix with flaps like per the manual.I also made a channel for increasing the elevator throw/expo for taxing on the ground, and takeoff and landing. It will probably save you a set of props. I recommend this plane to anyone who has experience with larger than park flyer planes..”
“Received this spitfire and i'm very impressed with the high qualities components and foam construction. The build went nicely without any hiccups, the instructions were clear and understandable with helpful tips, and then it was off to maiden.Maiden- I was very nervous about the maiden of the spitfire thinking it would be hard to handle or with random points of instability. But once the tail stopped dragging on the grass and the spitfire lifted off i was able to relax. It's definitely a cruiser, very stable and predictable. I'm blown away by the performance of it! It's fast, agile, pretty, and then there is the Vertical...This spitfire just kept going up and up until i had to force it back down to earth. Just plenty of power and i see no need for mods to make it faster as it's already in the speed scale of a real spitfire maybe even a bit faster.Tips- 1 thing you absolutely need to do is add 10% of up trim for the elevator when you use flaps, or else it will dip down, it also says it in the Manuel. Another thing you could do is to created a channel to give your elevator a lot of throw for when you are taxing on a grass runway, taking off and landing. It might save your props keeping the tail on the ground.Overall this is the best plane I've got in my hangar and is my #1 favorite, i would recommend this to anyone with experience with park flyers or anything larger. airplanes.”
“I wanted to get this plane when I saw the announcement e-mail and have not been disappointed yet. Assembly was very quick and the decals took some time to apply but were not to difficult to put on. I set up the control linkages as per the manual and fly it on full rates all the time with no problem. I fly off of a grass runway ant the spitfire has no trouble taxiing on the grass and taking off only needs to be at about half throttle. In the air the spitfire fly's very well and easily fly's at lower throttle ranges unlike other PNP planes that i have flown and flying for nine minutes only puts back 3000mah on my 5000mah batteries. Landing is another non event with flaps it is easy to get a 3 point landing and roll out nicely on the grass with no sign of tipping over. The only issue I've had with this plane was that on the third landing the one retract mount pulled out of the wing, I glued it and have had seven more landings with no issue.”
“Got this beauty a week ago and I must say... Damn, I'm glad I've got me one of these!!! The overall quality and finish on this model is by far one of the better I've seen yet compared to several other warbirds I have in my hangar. I can hardly wait to fly this one, but I'm taking the time with the build to get the details and markings the way I want to. For this already good looking Spitfire, nothing else but perfect is what it deserves. The build manual however have some room for improvement but take your time when you build and you'll see what they mean, a few things could be described a little more in detail, though it isn't hard to understand anyway. The finish and details on this model is absolutely awesome and seems very thought of inn every detail, and for the prize it's a winner of the show at the model strip for shure. I'm looking forward to take this spitfire to the skies, a friend of mine already have his and it flies totally awesome and he says it is quite easy to handle in the air. I saw him flying it and it looks just like the real deal. Just keep in mind the rate and expo, to make it fly like the real thing, don't have to high rates+ throws on the control surfaces, less is more if you want to fly it like the real one does and I've been told to adjust the rates a little lower than what the manual says, but I'll set it up like inn the manual and then adjust the throws from my transmitter. A matter of preferences I'd say but I bought this to make it fly scale-like and not 3D aerobatics, and this thing will fly prefect i hope. Daym motionrc, -this is what I'd say is close to perfect for an epo model for this prize, and the size looks prefect as well beside my 1700mm FMS mustang. Thanks for super fast shipping, 8 days from I ordered until I had it at home. Keep up the great work and make more planes like this, this is awesome!”
“What a nice airplane! Flys great and looks good. Long flight times on the recommended battery. Excellent fit and finish. You won't go wrong with this one.”
