I don't know how some people says that the Apprentice is the best trainer airplane,, there is no comparison .. This one by far beats all the trainer airplanes .. plus all the other option you have in this one..I strongly recommend it..

First of all, Thanks to Motionrc, for great service and fast shipping. The Pandora was well packaged and arrived in excellent shape. I have not flown the plane yet, but it is together and looks awesome. Instructions were fairly simple to follow and look forward to have it airborne soon. I sure enjoyed all the video's of this plane with Capt. Mike and Pilot Ryan, well done!!

I am new to the sport of flying RC aircraft. Thanks to the advice of the great folks at Motion RC I purchased a Freewing Pandora as one of two planes to learn with. I have an instructor to help guide me along. The plane is solid, stable and handled well, even with my inept abilities, in winds of 9 mph with gusts to 11-12, although I didn't take off or land it. With my other trainer, even a small wind blows it all over the sky. The tail-dragger configuration, with its large front wheels, handles the grass landing field without a problem and is airborne in a matter of 12 feet or so. The plane is solidly built with nylon hinges, and fuselage and wings reinforced. It was so well-received, two others at the field have purchased them.

I think the plane is a good value for the money. The build was easy, and of course you have all the configuration options. I especially like the fact that there's plenty of room for electronics and everything, including the battery, is very accessible. It is not, however, a very tough plane. I built the high-wing, taildragger model and the first hard landing broke the main gear. The mounting setup isn't strong, and the screws are tiny. I fixed it, and two or three landings later, another hard one, gear came completely off. These were not bad crashes -- no other damage to the plane, including the prop, which is delicate in itself.I'm flying it off a fabric pseudo-asphalt runway; maybe a more yielding grass strip would have been kinder.

This plane is great, it fly's very good in wind, easy to put together The One great problem is in the front land gear is mounted to nothing a small mounting plate and it is held in by as small piece of plastic at each corner, which in a grass or a medium hard landing on concrete breaks and its a real problem to fix.

The only problem is the manual leaves a lot to be desired.Motion RC is a great company.

I choose the tail dragger configuration since I read the tri landing gear setup (front landing gear mount) damages easily. Have had no problems landing in this configuration and no damage. This is an easy flier and maneuvers well in the air. I did the flap option which was fairly easy to do (instruction aren't that great) and they work well. I did replaced the servos which are low end since I didn't want them to fail at an inopportune time. I like the ability to switch between high and low wing configuration. Plane construction is good and I enjoy flying this plane.
