“Flew it first with everything stock. THEN put 12'' single prop on it. Big difference, and no stall. Installed the flaps using servo reverser. They work great. Put big ''bush looking rubber tires on it. WHAT FUN--IT'LL ROLL OVER ANYTHING and get airborne. It lands on very rough ground with no problems. If that wasn't enough--it now has BIG BTI FLY L E D WHITE LANDING LIGHTS ON THE WINGS. yOU CAN SEE THIS THING AT 40,000 FEET. The most fun plane that lends itself to almost anything.”
“Like this plane a lot. Have flown it twice. Its very forgiving. I have replaced the prop with another 3 bladed prop with a lot more bite(pitch). Will be installing flaps tonight. Bought flap reverse harness on order to do this. Plug and play on them.Have to re-enforce rudder rod with plastic tube on this plane. It wants to flex and bind. Easy fix though because the plane comes apart readily. I like trying to improve on an already good thing. Most fun is landing this plane. I put big rubber tires, because I land on pavement all off the time. Next is LED lights on the wings, and tail. Did all this to another plane similar to this one years ago,and what fun day or night. The Pandora lends itself to these upgrades perfectly. This hobby is all about having fun,and we do.”
“I actually got this thing off the ground first try! Having flown rc helis for the past year, my confidence was high when I 12ided to expand into fixed wings. So, I purchased a 1100mm spitfire. Needless to say, my first attempts to launch were a disaster! So, I got a simulator, and 12ided on this aircraft for my trainer because of its ability to change configurations. So far, I am completely satisfied with my 12ision, and having a blast! This bird is pretty tough, too. I'm still not great at bringing it down. Had to change the rudder servo to metal gear after the first flight. No problems since. Set up flaps as well, to shorten take-off and landings. I would certainly recommend this aircraft to anyone.”
“The Pandora went together without any problem. I am using the low wing tail dragger format and a 3 cell 2600 pack with a Spektrum DX6i, and the first flight was a breeze. Just a few clicks on the right aileron and this bird was very stable. Tried the flaps on the first landing, and it settled in nicely. Have a feeling this one will become a favourite quite soon. I did swap the wheel pants over to the mains and got rid of the large foam wheels. It now looks like the quality plane that it is. And, the service from Motion RC was A1. I will be ordering again very soon.”
“This is my very first RC plane but so far it seems pretty good. I have flown twice now, once in (for me) stupidly high winds (13mph with gusts to 18) and the plane handled well. I am looking forward to my next outing with the plane in hopefully better weather. The rudder servo either came stripped or stripped just doing basic servo checks but MotionRC was awesome and sent a replacement. I will probably look into getting higher quality servos down the road but everything works for now. One other minor quibble that might be related is that the plastic arm that attaches to the rudder servo was rubbing on the interior styrofoam of the fuselage. I trimmed a small bit of the body out to allow full movement of the servo.Build time was minimal and pretty straight forward. The step by step instructions don't tell you what size screw to use in each location but there is a table at the back of the manual that does. Go figure - would have been easier for a noob to just put it in each step.Through all the getting setup MotionRC has been great about answering my questions and I will definitely be buying my next plane from them once I get better.”
“Have had two of these planes and it is a go to bird when wanting to get something in the air. Either wing location makes it great for the beginner or regular flyer. Only gripe is the weak nose gear. On grass, the servo Will strip however flying off a solid surface is not a problem. I recommend also that you pull off the wing mounting brackets and epoxy them back on. Have had two wing failures at this point. Flying low wing is a blast and does look good flying by.”
