“I changed the configuration to the tail dragger since I will be doing some of my instructing on a grass runway. I was flying this morning on extremely wet and somewhat what tall grass (4-5 tall). This thing handles the grass absolutely fantastic. I also got some of those Admiral brand 3S 3300 lipos and am getting great flight times. I flew the plane really hard for 8 mins, did a couple of landings with three take offs running though that wet grass. I checked the remaining voltage and there was 33% remaining. I was like..what? I could fly this jewel for 12 min. if I wanted to. I also changed the wing screws to wood screws that are much easier and faster to assemble the wing. Now I can say this plane is perfect for training and fun for cruising around.”
“Plane flys great, but front landing gear mounting is very weak if landing is not perfect, any bounce on the front wheel ,will break the mounting. I reinforced plastic mount with thin plywood, front and back side. much better now”
“This is one great trainer. I have it in the tricycle high wing configuration for teaching new pilots on asphalt runway.Looks great, takes off great, flies great, and lands great.The only issue is those bottom line servos. I cant get over how well this plane is built; nylon hinges, easy accessible electronics, and battery compartment. Then you have these cheap servos...makes no sense at all. in the first day I lost two. The first one an aileron servo before the first flight. The second on the third landing. It was not at all an eventful landing either. Free wing put in the good stuff and charge the difference and we will still buy.”
“I see all the great reviews, but the wing design is terrible. The first wing fold was at high altitude (high wing) and completely destroyed the fuselage (had to buy a new one) happened twice more as a low wing. I'm going to try to fuse all three parts together , and try again.Flys great when the wings stay on!”
