“Just installed into a 40 size airframe. Broke in using 20:1 fuel. Engine started right up with very little issue. Looking forward to flying. Instructions could be easier. Make sure you do not use the hose supplied for carb pressure. This hose is not fuel proof and will dissolve and cause fuel mixture issues.”

“Bought this motor because i want to get away from nitro and not a giant fan of electric..i finally got to run a tank of fuel thru it and it seems to run well..half way thru the tank i noticed oil leaking out of the head opposite side of the exhaust..found head bolt loose and also muffler bolts loose ,retighten all and found that i think the exhaust bolt is starting to strip out ..no i did not ape tighten it either..but restarted the motor and seemed to run better,,over all i am impressed with the motor so far, still need to run it some more,,breaking it in on the recommended pro so we shall see!prob would not hurt to get another muffler as i don't think this one will last long..that would be the only complaint with this motor!”
“The first thing that happened was that i mounted the engine in a 60 inch ws FlyFly Cap 232 first start was upright in the plane, later it will be mounted head down , it primed in about a dozen spins but i had to set the carbs low and high speed jets, very simple, run very well for about 5 minutes, varied speeds with a 12x6 prop, refueled and took her out for a flight, took of in about 30 feet, full power is good for a plane of this size, im going to say about 50 mph on a long straight run, landed after 15 minutes and it took just a few ounces of fuel, though its running abit rich on the top end, starts very fast and runs very smooth, the plane weighs about 6 1/2 lbs. The rain here in Nova Scotia is very wet till Monday morning and out it goes again, ill know better how much better it will be, after another dozen flights, so far all is good, happy flying, ken white ,Truro ,N S”

“In my first review I haven’t ran the engine yet, but just got done with the first run and it cranked right up with smooth idle and good transition from low to high speed without making any needle adjustments. Seems to be a good little engine should only get better as it breaks in. Thumbs up”

“I received this engine very quick, but have not had a chance to run it yet. It was packed well, and everything was in good condition. I will review is again as soon as I run it...”

“I bought the NGH 9cc as a gas replacement for nitro engines in smaller sport planes.First run: opened low and high screws 3/4 turn. (I'm at 1800m elevation.)Ran 2 tanks, keeping engine mostly on high idle, and under 4,000 rpms. After 12 oz of fuel, idle was 3340 rpms, and full throttle was 7100 rpms with an 11 x 10 prop.(This is making turns for 69 mph.) Running 5% 2-stroke oil.Use an electric starter. Prime engine. Keep low end rich for good idle.Used a 2s 1500mAh battery feeding a 6v voltage regulator.Nice idle sound. Full throttle sounds like a nitro engine.”
