“My familys puppy is highly anxious, as well as overly protective with loud sounds such a lawnmower/motorbikes etc, and to our surprise, the barking at external/outside sounds when he inside at home has decreased and doesnt even seem to mind if dad is mowing the lawn out the front of the house. He gets very stressed being home alone, during thunder storms, loud noises etc. What I did love about the product is that its easy to use, just plug it in and dont touch it. I have a toddler at home too so its important to me that this product can be used around children safely. Unfortunately I didnt see the dramatic improvement in my dog as I had hoped. He did seem a little more relaxed than usual however I didnt see any improvement during thunder storms or loud noises etc. I think this product would work well for dogs who have mild anxiety rather than extreme anxiety like my poor little floof. “Our Cavalier King Charles has had some anxiety since he was a puppy, particularly around new objects (such as a suitcase) that is placed in his environment. He also whines quite a bit when out walking if my wife or I go into a shop. To be honest we havent seen a lot of difference in his behaviour since activating the diffuser so it hasnt really worked for him. We tried it over a period of around 3 weeks.

“My dog Asher tends to be very averse to loud noises - especially from the locals who rev their cars at all hours of the day and night...I dont blame her, quite frankly! During the time that Ive been using the Adaptil, I feel theres been a slightly more chilled aspect to her. She does react to them, but seems to settle a little more swiftly, and has been coming out and using her bed in the living room more. It may be coincidental, but it appears the diffuser has had beneficial impacts for her AND me.

“Both of my dogs (aged 6 and 7) have anxiety and have been prescribed medication in the past. One of them still takes daily anti-anxiety medication and situational medication for events like storms. Being able to use the plug in during times of peaked anxiety such as storms or when we have visitors and the dogs prefer to be in their room or in our bedroom, has been really helpful. Usually during storms my dog with higher anxiety levels who is still on medication, wont eat or do anything but hide under a bed or will tuck himself into a tight corner. During a recent storm I trialed not giving him his situational medication and had the plug in going for an hour or so before the storm hit and throughout. He was definitely calmer than he normally is without his medication and even ate his dinner during the storm, which is something he would not normally do. They have both appeared generally a bit calmer when the plug in is in use. It hasnt been a complete solution to the anxiety but I can definitely see some small improvements when in use. I was gifted a product sample to trial and review. I would absolutely consider adding it to my toolkit of ways to manage my dogs anxiety in the future.”
