“The product was very easy to use and I was pleasantly surprised at how quickly I saw results. Both of my very active cattle dogs appeared to be calmer and more relaxed after I plugged in the diffuser. My red heeler in particular suffers from a high level of anxiety and is triggered when unknown men come to the house - which is very tricky whilst were undergoing house renovations! My dog gets anxiety when hes left inside and we are outside, so this made a significant difference and he was able to sit at the back door and watch us without crying, barking and scratching at the back door and carry on like he usually does! “I have a greyhound with severe storm/firework anxiety. She has prescription anti-anxiety meds from the vet for this issue, but the problem with that is she needs the medication in advance for it to work, and you dont always have enough notice of storms and certainly not fireworks. Recently, it has also seemed her meds werent working as well as they once did.
We were heading out on a walk a couple weeks ago when an unexpected storm hit, we turned back home, poor thing was incredibly stressed as she had not had her meds. We had recently been using adaptil in the home and had also gotten her a thunder jacket which we put on. She paced and panted for some time which is usual for her but soon settled into her bed and went to sleep. Some loud cracks of thunder hit a while later, and she did not even stir.
I really like the convenience of the adaptil diffuser as you just plug it in, switch it on and forget, so even when things hit unexpectedly she has something for her anxiety in her system.
As greyhounds, they both tend to sleep all day anyway so I cannot really say if it has had much affect on their usual temperaments, and as I cannot be sure if it was the adaptil or the thunder shirt (though I assume both) that helped during the storm, I have not rated any higher until we can see more results of it working, but will certainly continue to use it in our home. Hopefully we will see the effects of the adaptil out of the house, such as in vet visits which she finds stressful too.

“Our big lovely anxious boy seemed to really calm down quite alot with this thing. He went from barking at every single person at the door to showing around a real estate agent for an inspection. Only downside I can see is that when intense cases of anxiety or overguardedness (like a puppy being introduced next door) it doesnt seem to have a huge effect but thats understandable.
