“This is probably the best product on the market for this purpose as of right now however there is not much competition.I've been using for a few months and here are the things that can and should be improved with updates:- Measurement details. The app only gives you really a status of stable, rising, or receding water level. It would be much more beneficial to provide a numerical measurement which seems possible given that during set up it's able to give you one.- Wi-fi connection improvements. Occasionally the thing gets disconnected from wi-fi for no reason, reasonable however it does not have any mechanism to attempt to re-connect automatically which means you have to physically go to the device and go through the connection procedure again. This is an annoyance depending on the location of your sump pump or if you are home or not. Related to this, you cannot hook this directly into ethernet even though there is a ethernet port on the device.- Notifications. There are plenty of notification settings however not one for the simple action of when the pump runs. Would be nice to have a notification for when the pump runs.- Accuracy. I'm not entirely sure it is accurate in measure amount of water that is pumped out to be honest.”
“Update 03-05-23I purchased this after seeing it at the 2023 Consumers Electronic Show in Vegas. Now that I've had this installed for several weeks I find it a little buggy but overall an ok product and have raised my evaluation from my initial response. The WiFi reports that it's lost connection but when I check, it's on line, so that is possibly software or a poor radio given that I added a access point within 20 feet of the device. I used to receive constant false alerts of pump failure and sump flooding when upon physical inspection all things are normal. I have a very active sump well and Moen tech support suggested relocating the sensor to the least active area of the well away from the tile drain pipes, closer to the high water lever with clear view. That change eliminated almost all the false alerts. I still get one when there is a lot of water entering the well from the drain tile pipes. I'm skeptical that the water volumes pumped are accurate but that is minor. The product will report pump cycles and high water. I haven't tested power outages yet to understand if that event is reported remotely or requires the home network to be powered by UPS for that function to report to the app. So in conclusion, I do recommend this product over the other products I've tried. The good: The S2000ESUSA is good tool to report pump cycles and power outages. It also has a thoughtful high water sensor and audio alert. These features reported through the smartphone app lets you monitor from afar with data history make this product a win. I replaced a grid style sensor that fails each year with the high humidify and mineral buildup common to a sump well. The medium: I can't validate the pumping volumes but the cycles are accurate and useful to understand the pump activity. The not so good: Either the radio is weak or the software that manages the radio constantly reports a lost connection. I have other WiFi devices in the area with no connection issues. None the less, I added another access point near the monitor and after a week I only received one alert vs several a day. So other than that shortcoming, the product works for me.”
