“First you will need to install the app and it will easily guid your through the set up process.We had everything up in running in no time, it will send notifications to your phone with any issues that need your attention, it also had a alarm on the unit itself.The only issue we have is our internet does not seem strong enough to reach under our house, to where we were want our sump pump monitored.Our solution it to beef up our internet or add extender, but we will get this done because this monitor is needed to let us know everything under our house is dry and safe (peace of mind):-)Great thing to have !!”

“I spent a number of years as a licensed plumbing contractor and I have seen, first-hand, the damage caused when a sump pump fails. One thing I’ve learned is that sump pumps will fail, it’s never “if” but, when! Homeowners lose thousands of dollars in possessions if a basement floods.The Moen Sump Pump monitor is a great device to help you find out you have a problem while you can still do something about it. Frankly, if I were still a plumber, I’d strongly suggest that every sump pump installation included one of these devices.Basically, the monitor connects to the pump, with a sensor probe on the floor near the sump pit. It isn’t too complicated to install, if you take your time and carefully follow the directions, but you might consider asking a pro to install it for peace of mind. That way they can check the pump at the same time to make sure it’s OK from the start. If you are getting a new pump, don't hesitate and get this monitor to go with it.The Smart Water App measures water-level data, monitors the pump for normal operations and lets you know if it is acting up. If the pump motor fails, the outflow pipe breaks, or if power goes out, it has a battery backup to alert you through Wi-Fi and the Smart Water App will send you a signal letting you know.It senses humidity or temperature problems too. If you have an emergency begin to develop, you can receive text, email or phone call warnings and get ahead of it before damage is done.… it’s really quite sophisticated.Because it’s Moen, I really trust it. I always installed Moen faucets when I was contracting, because they always worked.”

“Moen's Flo smart plumbing sensors and valves are an immensely attractive set for anyone fearing water damage, either via broken supply lines or by rising water levels due to disabled sump pumps. (The Flo water supply monitor and shut-off valve is available here: https://www.plumbingsupplyandmore.com/Moen-900-001-4-Inch-Smart-Shutoff/dp/B00C03D01Q)This Moen Flo Smat Pump Monitor set is designed to warn of--but NOT prevent--sump pump failure. It includes three sensors:1) A pass-through electric box into which you plug your pump's power cord which is itself directly plugged into a power outlet. This box (with 9 volt battery backup) is the brains of the setup and connects through a 2.4 Ghz wifi network (or apparently via ethernet--there's an ethernet port on the bottom) to an app on your Android or Apple phone. This box monitors power usage and pump performance with help from the other sensors, and with the 9V battery's help, sounds a siren to warn of power outages.2) A horn shaped water level sensor which attaches to your sump pump's discharge pipe (via two included cable ties) above the natural maximum water level, but inside the sump pit which monitors water level and pump performance in conjunction with the box's power sensor which detects sump activity.3) A Moen Flo moisture detector to place on the basement floor beside the sump pit to detect pump failure and pit overflow or other flooding issues.As a unit, this Moen system is pretty much as good as it gets for detecting problems. The box is also capable of checking a battery backup system's availability.But as a prevention tool, you may want first to buy a battery-powered pump backup, or a water-pressure driven backup system.”
