The boat Evolution was beautiful! Our cabin was spacious. The food was excellent. The entire crew was always friendly and helpful. The naturalist wet knowledgeable and Lola was especially personable. I loved getting to know the other guest. Best vacation we ever had.

The Evolution yacht is wonderful! Super spacious cabins, very well-designed common areas. The rear part, where we went down to the dinghy for the excursions, is much more comfortable than other yachts I have been on. The side corridors allow you to have a 360 view of any event that may happen during the trip. The Jacuzzi, the bar, the coffee station, everything is thought out down to the smallest detail.

An amazing cruise with only 32 passengers and 20 crew creates a more intimate feel. Above standards meals, cleaning of cabins 3 times a day without ever spotting the person responsible. The guides are caring, well trained, knowledgeable & frankly people that make this world a better place by their love of the Galapagos and keeping it safe for future generations. Say hi to Alex, Bollo and the wonderful Lola. Captain Luis a soft spoken man whose experiences speak for themselves. Cesar the best sommelier and cocktail waiter. Steve pays attention to detail. All this and more. A week here is like a month spent elsewhere. Highly recommend the Evolution.

Sadly, I must say the sailing on August 13, 2022 did not fulfill my expectations. The primary reason was management's decision to not request the large Indian family (17 guests - 9 children & 8 adults) reserve the entire ship. This negatively impacted the remaining 13 guests experience, of which I am one, in the following ways: 1) I presume the food service was strained by the dietary requirements of the Indian family who were mostly vegetarian, as the food was average at best. One evening we were served duck that was as hard as the plate it was served on. It felt like dinners were a repeat of lunches. Coordination seemed to be lacking between the food service providers and the naturalists' presentations which seemed to run long. 2) the 3 naturalists were forced to alternate 2 to the Indian family due to the children and 1 to the remaining 13 guests which limited guests' ability to choose which naturalist they would go with. 3) ability of the guests to mingle with a diverse group of adult passengers during the cocktail hour and all meals since the Indian family was always seated together. While the crew and naturalists did an admirable job trying to cope with the imbalance, it inevitably affected the product delivered. I'm a discerning traveler that seeks an adult experience when traveling and am willing to pay handsomely for that experience. At this price point, I was surprised by the number of children present. In hindsight, I should have chosen Lindblad Expeditions.

Hi Kenneth! Thank you for your honest feedback, we do appreciate the complete transparency. We are happy to hear that you were satisfied with the Islands and the job of our crew! In regards to the larger group that was on board, we can understand the frustration you experienced. Their party was bigger than our other yacht, The Grace, could accommodate and requesting that Guests reserve entire ships is something that we typically don't do. We encourage our Guests to travel the way they prefer. This family really wanted to travel with our Quasar family, so The Evolution was their only alternative. Since The Evolution accommodates 32 Guests, they also didn't have enough people in their group to reserve the entire yacht. As leaders in the eco-travel space, it's very important to us to welcome everyone with open arms, no matter the size of the group or how many children come along for the adventure. This is peak season for family travel to Galapagos, and not just for Quasar, but for all cruise companies. All Summer departures have numerous kids on board, regardless of who you cruise with. Especially during school holidays in North America. In regards to the food onboard, we are sorry to hear that it did not meet your expectations! We know how large of a part delicious cuisine plays in your overall travel experience. We can assure you that the dietary needs of the larger group on board had no effect on the food served to the rest of our Guests. We always ask that all of our Guests provide their meal requirements and preferences prior to departure to meet any and all dietary needs. We will be communicating your feedback to our culinary crew. Finally, we apologize for any confusion with our Naturalist Guides. We have 3 Guides and 3 dinghies aboard the Evolution, which equates to one Guide for about every 10 Guests. Guests are free to go with any Guide they choose during outings. Again, we really appreciate you taking the time to review your trip with Quasar! As always, we welcome you, or anyone reading this review, to contact us at customerservice@quasarex.com if there are any further comments or questions. Our best, ~ The Quasar customer Service Team

The yacht was beautiful, stylish and comfortable. It had an old fashioned feel with all the modern comforts. Will probably book again and go to Patagonia .
