The staff was excellent and all activities were paced appropriately and timely. The food and service were excellent. I would highly recommend it and the guides were excellent and knowledgeable and passionate about what they do. The medical attention was great and the trip over exceeded my expectations!

I had never been on a cruise. I was excited about exploring the Galapagos but didn't know how a cruise would make it all possible. Pre-trip the Quasar staff made the logistics very easy even with the changing Covid situation and unrest in Ecuador. Meeting the guides and taking the panga ride out to the Evolution started the adventure. Hadn’t been on a panga for decades. Boarding the Evolution and meeting the crew made me feel like we were in good hands. Seeing our staterooms for the first time was reassuring that we had made the right choice and would have a comfortable home on board. Very good first impressions. As we discovered the daily program and then took part in them, the Evolution offered a wonderful platform. The warm wood decks, classic style, hot tub for after chilling water adventures, top deck bar and gathering area. And when it wasn’t so warm outside the indoor lounge and dining area were welcoming and cozy. The expresso machine and candy bowl kept everyone going. The staff did a wonderful job, both those who were visible and those who worked behind the scenes. Out staterooms were kept clean and it was a pleasant surprise to see a new towel sculpture each day. Caesar the bartender and who helped at meal times became a friend. Steve the head of the hotel ran operations very well and was there to serve us meals each day. He made great omelets too. I got assistance from Dr. Natalie who was very caring and attentive. The captain ran the ship very well and did his best to minimize the sounds of navigation while guests were sleeping. It was nice to be invited to the bridge to experience the crossing of the equator. The chef and kitchen staff prepared wonderful meals and fresh bread each day. I appreciated a fish option each day instead of meat. The pangas were key to accessing all off-board activities and the crew made these rides secure and fun. Getting on and off the pangas was probably the most dangerous part of the trip. I appreciate the staff offering helping hands. The engineer kept everything running smoothly. I appreciated the steps taken on the Evolution to be more ecological. Separating waste and recycling, having a reusable water container for daily activities, eco-friendly soaps and shampoo. I’m not sure if this review is supposed to include the naturalist guides, but Alex Hernan and Adriana were great. I will recommend Quasar and the Evolution to my friends. I look forward to coming back in doing the other itinerary and possibly seeing the new yacht.

Our experience on the Evolution was a once in a lifetime, five star adventure, one we will remember for the rest of our lives. From start to finish we were treated like royalty. The staff could not have been more gracious, accomodating and attentive. We and all of the guests were catered to from start to finish. The guides were warm, knowledgeable and fun, and we thoroughly enjoyed our time with them.

Our experience on the Evolution was incredible. The itinerary was arranged so thoughtfully, taking into account a wide range of different experiences, islands, and wildlife, as well as time to relax and enjoy the snacks, drinks, and hot tub. The staff on the ship were wonderful. Our guides Bolo, Monica, and Alex were fantastic and we learned so much on this trip. Our captain Victor took the time to show us the GPS when we were up early one morning and about to cross the equator. The chefs prepared food that accommodated our dietary needs and was also delicious and healthy. The spacious cabins were very nicely decorated and we appreciated the housekeeping's frequent visits to tidy up and leave surprises. We had such a wonderful vacation and highly recommend the Evolution!

Overall, the trip and staff were exceptional! I have one suggestion. To me, it was unpleasant when staff was very hurriedly clearing the table of dishes even when others were still eating and we were talking. The staff were reaching over/around us and making noises with the dishes/utensils even while we were eating, especially at dinner as we were having to lean in to hear each other because the dining room would get very loud. Dinner is one of the few times when we could leisurely reminisce of the day. It should be relaxing and enjoyable. Clearing the table while folks are enjoying the meal and the company is shunned upon at nicer restaurants in the US. I suggest you wait to clear dishes until at least most of the diners are done, and that you ask the diner if they want their dish removed. You’re perfect otherwise.

Dear Angela, We are delighted that you found your experience with Quasar onboard the Evolution to be exceptional. However, we are sorry to hear about the issue that you experienced with the restaurant staff as they cleared the tables after meals. We can assure you that they did not mean to interrupt your conversations or to make you uncomfortable. Please remember that any issues that you experience while on your cruise can be brought to the attention of your Cruise Director at any time. They are there for you, and I am sure that if they would have been informed of this when it happened they would have addressed it right away. Nevertheless, we are passing your comments on directly to our Cruise Director and our Operations department to make sure it does not affect any other Guests in the future. Thank you again for your comments and if you have further questions or feedback, please do not hesitate to contact us at customerservice@quasarex.com. Sincerely, ~ The Quasar Customer Service Team
