“As a Sand Cloud freak, it saddens me to give such a bad review of one of their products. I’m truly a fan. This is the only Sand Cloud product I have been disappointed with/in. I own about 15 Sand Cloud beach towels, and 1-backpack towel. (I replaced all my beach towels with Sand Cloud). All my bath towels have been replaced with Sand Cloud. My dish towels are Sand Cloud. I even use the dish towels, in my powder room as hand towels, because they are so amazing and beautiful. I have gifted more than can I can remember. I own six King size blankets 3-denim, 3-blue & white design. I LOVE the blue & white design. The denim are horrible. I have washed them multiple times, (a minimum of 5 times). They shed and snag like crazy. My lint trap on my dryer gets so full I literally cannot pull it out, if I let the entire cycle run without stopping it halfway through to empty the lint trap out. When I say they shed, I mean there are little blue pieces of fabric all over my entire house when I use these blankets. I purchased them to cover a couch, because we have a new puppy. He likes to try dig to get under or onto the couch. The blue and white design (and the beach towels I used originally) have never shed or snagged. However, the solid blue ones snag & shed like crazy, do not have the same hand feel as the other Sand Cloud products, and do not lay the same way. It’s like the have a stretch to them. I kept hoping after a few washes they would stop shedding and get the feel of other Sand Cloud products, but sadly they haven’t. They just make my house and my laundry room a disaster anytime I use them. They are useless to me and a waste of $500. I unfortunately, would not recommend this one Sand Cloud product. Again, my two color blanket is amazing 5 stars all the way.”

“These towels are beautiful, however upon washing them alone on a gentle cycle, the one towel had the entire side stitching unravel leaving a raw hem. The other towel had a pulled thread in one of the polka dot designs. For the price of these towels I expect quality and quality isn’t unraveling on the first gentle wash it goes through. I reached out to customer service and was told to “weave the thread back in”, I wish I could include a photo in this review as anyone would see I am unable to do that, nor should I have to with the price of these towels. In short, I do not recommend these towels.”

“Size is nice but JEEEEZE why is the fabric SO ROUGH?? Feels like sandpaper on my skin. I got this for my husband because he is a big guy and wanted a large towel but also not a heavy beach towel which stays wet all day. I thought this would be a great option since the large size but the quality of the fabric, for the price, is just not worth it. Disappointed and would not recommend.”

“Do not fall for this product! Plain and simple, it doesn’t work and should purely be used as a decoration. It feels extremely cheap and makes you feel more wet than you were before “drying off”. I’m sure Sand Cloud’s other products are great, but I write this to warn people to not buy the towels if you want a functioning one.”

“I'm a huge Sand Cloud fan. We have them for the beach, for the pool, for our home. After I got my first set, I'd send family the link and say "this is what I want for X holiday", etc. Until we replaced nearly all our towels. All of our towels except the kids bathroom towels -primarily because the XL size. Every other listing that has an XL size towel says so in the name of the towel. The ones that don't say it are standard size towels. Except this one. It an XL towel and isn't labeled.
Another issue is that photos are definitely filtered to show a brighter color. These towels are more like a dull-reddish-brick-terracota color than the orange clay appearance they give in the listing photos (and we checked the color on 4 devices and changed our screen brightness, it's not the device).
And last but most important, is the customer service is what killed it. After waiting nearly a year to get the black friday or Cyber Monday deal on kids bathroom towels, we end up with the wrong size and color based on the misrepresentation. I reached out asking to exchange them for a different towel, in the regular size, for the equivalent value (a towel that was at the same price point on my date of purchase) and was instead offered to keep the towels (that I already said don't work for me) at a bigger discount as they would refund me some of my purchase price. Why not let me apply that discount to getting the size that does work for me?”
