“from the last cover I purchased I noticed you changed the strapping from 1” to 3/4”. Along with that came a smaller ratchet. Fortunately I kept my old ratchet because the new ones slipped when tightened. It seemed that the pawl didn’t catch correctly. I agree the 3/4” strap material is okay but the quality of the new ratchet is inferior. Other than that the covers fit perfectly and will keep using and recommending your product. One more thought I replaced the original nuts to nylock style nuts. You can snug them to tight without distorting the tubes. That way I can break the frame down every spring and set it up again in the fall. I also replaced the carriage bolts with button head cap screws.”

I wish ShelterLogic would sell the parts individually, so I don't have a pile of unused back-walls and a couple of spare tops

We’re sorry to hear about your experience! While we do offer replacement covers without the door panel, this is only available if you choose to upgrade to a heavier material. The standard zipper end panel comes pre-packaged with the main cover as part of a Cover Kit and is not sold separately.
We offer three material grades:
7.5 oz Standard Fabric
14.5 oz Heavy-Duty PVC
21.5 oz Ultra-Duty PVC
The heavier-grade options come with extended warranties and longer life expectancies, which may better suit your needs.

“Nice cover. Easy to install but it just does not last through the winter weather in the northeast. I remove snow off of it every time it snows and the cover material dries out quickly.”

Thank you for your feedback! Please know that fabric life is affected by the application, location, and the physical elements the shelter is exposed to. If you live in an area that gets more sun exposure than most of the cover, along with exposure to other elements such as strong winds and snow, it can also affect longevity. We do offer replacement cover kits in Standard, Heavy-Duty, and Ultra-Duty material. The heavier material fabric has a longer warranty and life expectancies which might better suit your needs.
