“I am a veteran contractor tradesman auto mechanic and builder. I purchased two 12 by 20 ShelterLogic round tops in late 2018 here in northern Minnesota. They were carefully installed and kept mostly free of snow throughout the difficult 2018-2019 winter. They were installed in area away from heavy wind as well as properly being anchored. In July I noticed the seam opening up on the tent over our Grand Cherokee Jeep and filed a warranty claim. Then after about two weeks I decided to check the tent with the vintage Cadillac and sure enough the seam is opening on that one in almost the same exact location even though they face different directions. My professional recommendation is to not go with the 7.5 ounce standard cover as they will disappoint you. Furthermore if you do replace it with another standard covered under the warranty, your warranty will not be extended.”

We are awfully sorry to see that you are unhappy with your cover. Please know that fabric life is affected by the application, location, and the physical elements the shelter is exposed to. If you live in an area that gets more sun exposure than most of the cover, along with exposure to other elements such as strong winds and snow (if applicable), it can also affect longevity. We do offer replacement cover kits in Standard, Heavy-Duty, and Ultra-Duty material. The heavier materials have longer warrantied and life expectancies which might better suit your needs.
