“My furnace is still not working, after two separate tech visits. No one has contacted me regarding next steps to completing the job. I am extremely dissatisfied with communication, in general, and a thought out plan to get our situation resolved.”
“During an oil fill, I was informed that a whistler wasn't working, despite this never having happened in the past, so that the technician could not fill the second tank. After setting up a service call, the service technician informed me that it was functioning properly. I was charged a fee for oil tank repair ($123.21) and for clearing a fuel line blockage ($78.20). Much to my surprise was an additional charge for a combustion efficiency analysis ($119.85) that I did not request. This is upselling to the max. All this because the first technician may not have filled the tanks in the proper order to start with. It begets a question of competency versus selling of services. Very disappointing.”
“Did NOT have the parts to repair. This is the second time that it was worse, I had heat before they arrived and they had to shut things off overnight to get parts.”
“You ask me to rate a delivery when I have no information about that delivery. I used to get a copy of the delivery ticket via email, Haven;t gotten one during 2026. I don't know why. Sende me delivery information and I will give you a better rating.”
“Third time Shipley has been here in 3 weeks. First sd furnace looked good and "cleaned" it. 5 days later a tech came from Shipley because it kept turning on fir 49 min and off fir 2 min. over 24 hours. . Didn't find anything but a hot pipe. Took the outside air hose off. Furnace ran great. Then another tech came with manager. Tech met me at door "I am here to look at your condemned" furnace???? Really. Not condemned and runs fine now. All techs said would not hurt it to leave outside air hose off. 3 techs from Shipley. 3 different diagnosis.
Love the fuel side of shipley but done with service team.
We got a second opinion. Fuel exchange has some rust but no cracks and no holes so no reason to replace at this time. ClEANED motor because it was dirty. what happened with the man that was here from Shipley to clean the furnace?. Here less than 20 min ($175) and showed me the rag he used to wipe off the top of outside of furnace . What a racket.”
