TRAKK Heating Pad for Neck & Shoulder Reviews

3.5 Rating 113 Reviews
I suffer from chronic neck pain. I bought a shiatsu heated massager that is actually quite painful. Someone suggested this heating pad. It is AWESOME! It actually gets too hot, I can only use it on 2 or 3, it has 4 heat settings. The neck has wire in it so it's adjustable and there is a magnetic closure on the front. It also has a 2 hour auto shut off. It heats up my neck, shoulders and upper back. All areas of discomfort for me. I absolutely recommend this to anyone that suffers from neck pain. As for using an extension cord, I read reviews saying you can break it by using an extension cord. I have always used extension cords with Sunbeam heating pads. You have to. The cords are always too short. I used an extension cord on this the first time I plugged it in and I had no problems. So I'm wondering if the company is just saying not to use extension cords to cover up faulty products.

I am beyond thrilled with this little cape of warm comfort! I have cervical issues that extend into my shoulders and am recovering from a pinched nerve. Up until now I had to position a large sweatshirt behind where I sit on the couch, lay a regular flat heating pad on the shirt, sit down, and then try to wrap the arms of the sweatshirt around me to hold it in place. It worked, but was a pain, and not all that comfortable. This heating cape is so easy to slip on and heats up quickly with perfectly adequate levels of heat for me. I was worried from other reviews that it would be too big for me ( I am 5'3" and 140 lbs) , but it fits great and I love the adjustable neck band. I tried it on my 220 lb husband who has broad shoulders and it fit him well too, so it is really versatile. It's super soft, with no strange smell like some products like this have. I did a couple of hours of research and read tons of reviews before deciding on this one, and I'm convinced I made the right choice. This thing is awesome!

First this product is too heavy and the meta in the neck is cumbersome and very stiff. I notice from some reviews that people like the metal but it is not comfortable to be laying on with a sore neck. I have the smaller light green sunbeam neck heating pad and have really liked that one so I thought I would try this one. Unfortunately, I was disappointed with this model again with the bulky weight, stiff bar and also does not get as hot as my other sunbeam product. I think sunbeam needs to go back to the drawing board on this one and hang on to the older softer, lighter model.

Experiencing a cervical herniated disk where the pain extends to my left shoulder to my upper back/spine so heats been my best source for pain relief. I was using a small heating pad that needed constant position adjustment when I decided to get a proper cervical heating pad with shoulder coverage.I wasn't all that happy with the product since I wanted aside from day pain relief to also be able to sleep in for my pain during the night but it's just too uncomfortable and bulky to do so.The heat doesn't distribute anywhere besides the neck area so all the heavy extra cloth simply is a waste and also uncomfortable. If you don't enjoy a little extra weight I don't recommend this. Not that it's heavy but it does apply pressure with the extra wasted material. There's little hard microbeads at the ends of the pad all around which make it also uncomfortable to rest your back to a chair or anything for that matter. There's an adjustable bending wire in the neck area to tighten or loosen but it doesn't stay in place for more than a few minutes and goes back to its original form.Besides those negative features, if you just wanted short term heat for the back and sides of your neck while standing or not caring for an annoying lump from the microbeads on your back this product will do.The quality is nice and exterior material I decently soft. The magnet to clip the front is a cool idea and convenient. The cushion in the neck area is comfortable. You could fold the extra flap material with microbeads at the end while laying so it isn't poking your back.Decent product but had to write my honest review to inform those using it for medical and physical aid/resource.

I purchased this heating pad with my Health Savings Account towards the end of the year (woohoo!) and it has been the best purchase! It perfectly wraps around the neck and shoulders rather than trying to shove a traditional heating pad into the crook of your neck. It also gets hot very quickly and has an auto shut off after 2 hours. I have laid this totally flat and used it for my lower back as well and you can get multiple uses out of it. You can also adjust the fit in the neck by pulling the collar part tighter to really customize the fit! Great purchase!Just throwing it out there for others with neck pain: try changing/upgrading your pillow. That makes as much difference as this product!

Just got it today and was anxious to try it. I am on the fence about it. I am a female and I feel this is big on me. The weight of it is not enough to keep it weighted down so that I can feel the heat on high. So that makes the other heat seating useless. I can barley feel the heat. If I pull down on the font then I get the full feel of the high heat. If the neck part did not have wires in it that you can mold to your neck it would not fit me at all. I looked long and hard and read tons of reviews on many others. I decided to try this one even after reading other say the heat is not what they expected. Again if you could lay on it like a regular heating pad it would be great. I also do not feel the heat in the other areas it says it warms. I am deciding on if I will send it back or not . At this time I would say it is NOT worth the money I was in quite a bit of pain today so any amount of heat would have been good. I just am not feeling it. Quite disappointed..

UPDATE: I loved mine so much I purchased a second for my elderly mother. Now I am having issues with the heating mechanism not working properly with mine. Within minutes of turning the unit on, it heats up and then begins to cool down to a level of barely any heat can be felt. Highly disappointed in purchase.ORIGINAL: Though I have only used it for about a week, so far I am very pleased with the design, heat output, weight, and size of the heating pad. It definitely puts out evenly distributed heat, including the neck flap. I like the magnetic closure in the front, and the flexible piece inside which can be contoured close to the neck. Overall it has a good weight and the size is more than generous. The electrical cord is plenty long enough. I have worn it in both directions so the cord comes off the side of my outlet source with no difference in heat intensity felt against the skin. Sunbeam definitely put some thought into the design of this heating pad, hoping now the durability is the same.Only Con which is only personal preference and not worth removing a star- I wish it had a separate On/Off switch instead of having to cycle through the heat settings to turn it off.

I love Sun Beam products so I was so excited to receive this neck heating pad. I have another Sunbeam heating pad and I use it on my neck to relieve stress but it's rectangular in shape so, I thought this was the answer. However, the neck heating pad did not get very warm even with adding pressure. It was a definite return.
