TRAKK Heating Pad for Neck & Shoulder Reviews

3.5 Rating 113 Reviews
I have mixed feelings about this item. I purchased it to replace the earlier style unit which is similar. This is much larger. I like the bendable band in the neck so it will stay closely to my most painful area. However it is so large that the magnetic closure in front is useless as there is a lot of overlap between the two front flaps. And I am not (ahem) a small person. The edges are heavy and weighted which add weight which is tolerable. However this creates a rolled edge that makes a lump especially if you sit back while you are wearing the heating pad (as I'm sure most people do). It's not horrible but sometimes annoying. I prefer the old model except for the bendable neck portion which makes this unit worthwhile and thus the four stars. Bigger is not always better!

Some reviews say that this does not heat up enough, however to me level 4 is plenty warm, and I even have to turn it down to 3 after a bit of time. It heats up very well in the neck area, but it doesn't seem to heat up as much in the shoulder/back portion of the heating pad. I wish the magnetic closure would allow me to overlap the front to get a tighter fit for my small frame. I can overlap it, but there's no snap or magnet to keep it closed. I like that it has some type of metal band in the neck that allows you to squeeze it to make a snug fit. The material is nice and soft, and the whole thing is flexible, not stiff like my old cheap heating pad.

I am EXTREMELY disappointed in this product! It doesn't get hot enough to do any soothing of sore muscles. I was really hoping this product would help with my neck pain unfortunately it was a huge waste of money. I'm hoping I can still return it...

I had this same type of heating pad in an older model that worked great for years before dying. This model is horrible for heat output, it's not comfortable at all and provides no relief for my tight neck muscles that lock up on me.

I bought this as a replacement for an OLD version that just wore out from very heavy use. I'm older, have severe arthritis, and spend A LOT of time sitting in front of my desk top computer. I have neck pain, shoulder pain and headaches. I would be lost without this heating pad.I read the reviews on this Sunbeam Renue Contouring Neck and Shoulder Pad. This review is based on me using this roughly 6 hours daily.1. This model is much larger and heavier than my old one. Yes, it took some getting used to, but the extra weight keeps the heat snugly against your neck and shoulders as you type, watch TV and chat on the phone.2. There are 4 heat settings. I use the 3rd setting. The 4th setting is a little too hot for me. I wear a t shirt or light blouse at home. My guess is the people who stated this did not get hot enough may have been using it over a heavy shirt (?). Regardless, I can't tolerate the 4th setting for more than a few minutes. I often fall asleep in my recliner with this on the 3rd setting.3. The cord is on the wrong side - yes, it is awkward and takes getting used to. I would prefer the cord on my right like my old one but oh well. You get used to having the cord draped in front of you. The most important thing for me is the heat and the area it covers.4. You can pull the sides in to adjust how it fits against your neck. I use the magnet closure in front to keep it in place.Recap - I have used Sunbeam products for years and will not even try other brands (no, I have not been paid to say this - I have been using Sunbeam pads since BEFORE people wrote reviews). The ONLY thing I would like to change on this model is to move the cord to the right side.

I bought this product for my wife and it swallows her whole. The neck adjustment mechanism does not hold form and it would become loose on her neck within minutes. The shoulder adjustment mechanism (magnets) is practically useless as you cannot tighten or loosen it in any way whatsoever -- either it fits you or doesn't.I tried the product on to see what it was like. I have broad shoulders and a neck of substantial girth. I am bigger than most people and it fit me pretty good, yet the shoulder adjustment mechanism was disappointing as I had to lean forward slightly to get the full heating effect on my upper shoulders. We are definitely returning this item.

I bought this and a massager out of desperation due to a migraine. This helped so much! I felt like a brand new person the next days. It's hard to position a regular heating pad for neck and shoulder relief, but this is perfect. Some of the similar products on here didn't have the heating element in the neck area, only the shoulders. This has it in both the shoulders and the neck. This has helped with the muscle spasms in my neck and shoulder area so much.

I would definitely recommend this to anyone who has shoulder and/or neck pain. I wanted something that came up to the base of my skull as my pain extends up there. A regular heating pad can be hard to hold in place, and this is so much easier. Works best if you sit back on a couch or are laying down as it helps hold it to you tighter, but I have no complaints about this item. It was and continues to be a life saver for me. When my muscle pain is severe, it's helpful to have someone put it on me, but it is an easy on/off. Wouldn't be a perfect fit for someone with very broad shoulders (built like a football player) but should fit a range if sizes. Would be nice if the cover was removable, but again, no complaints as this has been so helpful.
