“This is the third Teasmade my wife has had. The last two leaked after much use. This is the new and improved version. The lid used to be hinged which was handy for one handed operation but I can live with that. What has to go is the ticking of the second hand. Who wants that throughout the night. We only plug in the unit in the morning so disabling the entire alarm and wake up system. Not sure the designer had that in mind. Did you test the clock before launch? Bring one home and try it.”
“Overall it does the job, however, the teapot lid did not fit correctly and fell off whilst pouring the tea. Having to wait quite a long time for a replacement.”

Fits perfectly on top of the cistern, only problem is, I have to use an extension lead from the bedroom as no socket in the toilet.
The extension lead can be a trip hazard for minute trips to the loo.”
