Eterra E60 Fixed Backhoe with Fixed Thumb Description This skid steer backhoe system is an Eterra original from decades ago when the company began, and it is still immensely popular to this day. Originally termed the EZ-HOE, then the EH-5000, the product evolution has produced its current name, the Eterra E60, with optimized benefits and dynamic characteristics. Eterra has removed their original precision pins and replaced them with an exclusive ECS Backhoe Quick Exchange Coupler, resulting in a truly original and multi-functional attachment. This enables you to change out various implements with incredible ease. The various Buckets, Grapples and Accessories available for the E60 model are:
8” Trenching Bucket with 2 removable digging teeth 12” Digging Bucket with 3 removable digging teeth 16” Digging Bucket with 3 removable digging teeth 22” Digging Bucket with 3 removable digging teeth 32” Clean-Out Bucket (No digging teeth) 5-foot Mini-Lifting Boom Ripper Grapple Rake

“My E60 kit arrived on Friday. The delivery with Old Dominion went very well. They called me and communicated in advance so the delivery was seamless. Everything set up easily except I almost hit myself in the head when I cut the plastic wrap holding the boom to the main unit. should have noticed that before cutting the plastic wrap. The hydraulics connected easily and I started digging with my Case 40 XT and could not be more pleased with the function and result. !!! I'm digging a 4 foot deep trench for a water line. It's amazing how well it works. It's also very easy to change buckets. I am very pleased with the craftsmanship on the buckets and booms your company crafted. The workmanship is wonderful. I have changed buckets a few times and try very carefully to align the wedge before screwing the 1/2 inch bolts. I notice a few metal filings appear around the bolts each time I change the bucket. I squirted some Tri flow on the threads. I'm hoping the nuts which are welded to frame are a tougher grade than the bolts. I could eventually replace the bolts if they wear too much but the welded nuts would be tougher to replace. Anyway it's a small detail and I am not worried about it. Again, thanks for the wonderful design on the E 60 and the quick change system on all attachments. I am extremely pleased with the purchase. Congratulations on your great product and business. “This is an awesome piece of equipment, only down time was hydraulic leak, my fault I didn't check fittings when delivered. Will work magic on cedar tress, mesquite trees and scrub oak. Love it.”

Hey Micah! It's cool to hear from you again. Your comments are so true and that picture of the tree your carrying says a million words! You buy it thinking of digging ditches, and you end up hauling rocks and logs out of your neighbors ditches and saving cats from trees, more so the latter (haha). “This attachment, along with the grapple rake is a great device for cleaning out trees and brush and ROCK. It can take anything you can dish out. I believe it would last better than my new Kubota skid steer. The only flaw is an engineering flaw, and I would guess this is why they came out with the E-Terra E70 backhoe attachment. The pin that holds the thumb on gets bent ever so slightly when you use the machine and are digging in hard ground. This means that you have to use a grinder to cut the pin off short, then use a hammer and another pin to knock this cut pin out if you want to take the thumb off for any reason. So, just be sure whenever you want to work with the thumb, as, when you take it off you are going to have to replace the pin when you put it back on. I still love this attachment, but wish I had purchased the E-70 that has the hydraulic adjusting thumb.”

“I ordered an 8" and 16" bucket, the 32" rake (Grapple) and the 5' boom in addition to the Backhoe. The product arrived a day early and I was immediately impressed with the quality of all the items. This tool has replaced an old 3 point backhoe that I used on the back of my tractor with the added capability of the boom and grapple. I'm working on a project here on the farm that needs many trees cleared. After cutting them with my skid steer saw, the grapple has made the job of removal to a dump site a breeze and has more than paid for itself in time saved. I also use it to pull out stumps from smaller trees which it handles very well. The tool is fantastic for this kind of work and I regret not getting it sooner.”
