Eterra E60 Fixed Backhoe with Fixed Thumb Description This skid steer backhoe system is an Eterra original from decades ago when the company began, and it is still immensely popular to this day. Originally termed the EZ-HOE, then the EH-5000, the product evolution has produced its current name, the Eterra E60, with optimized benefits and dynamic characteristics.  Eterra has removed their original precision pins and replaced them with an exclusive ECS Backhoe Quick Exchange Coupler, resulting in a truly original and multi-functional attachment. This enables you to change out various implements with incredible ease. We've been working with our new E60 backhoe with Mustang 67hp/18gpm tracked skid steer. Hole-digging, trenching, and grabbing/managing logs. This attachment is a GREAT piece of equipment meeting or exceeding expectations. The design and build are really solid. The mounting plate and pin holes are snug- it takes a little jiggling to get it all locked in but that's good- you do not want this kind of tool loose in action. There are other less expensive backhoes out there, but look closely at the design and build - the E60 with 2 solid plates along the full length of the arm, and doubled solid steel mounting plate is an obviously better design. Very good value. The one minor issue I had was quickly and cheerfully resolved by the skid steer solutions team, and was only related to my particular machine's hydraulic hook-ups.

Broke the head weld pulling trees up & have damaged the head from pulling too hard . But at the same time I also broke the Bobcat weld on the main center point I am very hard on my equipment so I can not blame it on the E60 .

Can say enough about this hoe! What can't you do with it is the question? Love it. Had the old style heavy useless backhoe attachment for a skid steer. Sold it and bought this one and it was a great move! Love this thing! If your on the fence..... it's worth every penny!

This is a very late review but then again when buying attachments for skid steers and the money they cost you would hope they will last for years so I gave it some time. I bought the E60 bundle with everything unknowing what to expect. I made the purchase end of 2014. Craig (The Aussie I'll call him) is a great guy to work with and makes things easy with his knowledge and easy going nature. We had some shipping issues that was no fault of SSS but he ironed it out. I wasn't in a hurry to get the equipment anyway. I purchased a brand new 2014 Cat 299D XPS 2-Speed Hi Flow at the time of staffing up on attachments. This bundle pack appeared the way to go after searching the Internet over doing research. I am impressed with the backhoe and the service it has provided me. I gave it four stars and maybe others would have rated it three stars for one reason and it was evident early on the first time I hooked to it with the 8" trenching bucket. I didn't bother to alert my issue to Skid Steer Solutions due to me being mechanically inclined I corrected the issue myself. The problem I encountered was with very little digging force, the whole backhoe attachment was pulling completely off my skid steer plate. I could keep it on but had to be very gentle if you can actually put it that way. Lucky that I didn't have it at height that it pulled the hoses and broke the fittings. I still have the same hoses on it. It took me awhile to figure it out but best I can put it is the backhoe backplate did not fit my skid plate correctly. It seems it was slightly bigger and it would come loose from the skid pinning system. What I did was buy some 1/4" thick flatbar the width of the bottom plate lip and welded it the full length. The width of the flatbar I kept just even with the pin slots on the backhoe backplate. You could call it pretty close to precision work to avoid not being able to attach to it if the flat bar was thicker. It worked and problem solved. After that I have used it when I need it and it performs very well. I do like the protective cover over the hoses in the meat of the attachment. Mine has dents on it indicating I would have had hose damage but I'm still running the same hoses and had the attachment heading for 3 Years. I would recommend it though there are times I wish it was the swivel type mainly when going digging.

If I reason to use this attachment daily I would!! The backhoe is well constructed and has stood up to every challenge I have put in front of it. I really like the ability to change to different size of buckets and other attachments that fit on this backhoe. Thanks for a great versatile tool!

The Bacot has been a tremendous asset and is very useful for digging trenches or small holes such as landscaping projects. It also helps with lifting objects onto the back of trucks or trailers.
