“My fourth trip to this wonderful, well appointed secluded spot. As always, Carrie was a gracious, helpful hostess. She makes sure that everything is set as requested and then makes herself scarce, allowing privacy. Yet, she makes sure that she is only a text or phone call away if anything comes up. The seclusion and peacefulness of this camp keeps drawing me back and, if possible, will again.”
“This review is wayyyyy late, we stayed here late August/ early Sept 2021 and had an amazing time. I fear that Carrie & Mike's camp site spoiled us forever. They have created an outdoor living space with so many extras I can hardly call it a camp site. The propane fridge (totally worth the extra $) and the lake water hand pump sink made gourmet campsite eating and clean up so easy - not to mention all the cooking options (though we opted for the firepit). It was drizzly and cold the first couple of days and we hardly saw the sky but were still cozy under the tarp by the fire. Then the skies cleared and we got to swim and canoe in the very private pond with just the osprey to keep us company. Then at night -- the gorgeous sunset and crazy beautiful stars on a cleat night, laying on the dock -- is something I will cherish for a very long time. Definitely recommend this site!! Do not be deterred by the rough road in; it's what keeps it private.”
“This was my second time staying at this site with my boyfriend and we loved every minute of it all over again. The refrigerator is enough to get us to come back again but the seclusion, privacy and beautiful water top it all off. Carrie is such a great host, will answer texts quickly and supplies the campsite with items you may have forgotten. This place has so many cute details such as the animal stencil cutouts hanging on the trees, a book for guests to write in when leaving, and a marshmallow roasting sign above the fire pit. Carrie supplied us with 2 gallons of water per day which was plenty as well as a bundle of wood per night. Depending how long you like to sit by the fire, I suggest bringing more! Aside from firewood and lanterns, Carrie pretty much stocks this place for you. The griddle works great as well as the fridge/freezer and gives us one less things to worry about. We love this site and will be back!!”
“We rented this site for a bachelorette party and it was all around amazing! Mike and Carrie were so wonderful and accommodating. This site has EVERYTHING. We rented the griddle and I had SO much fun cooking with it! The location is pristine. So peaceful and the pond is so clean. The main tent was large enough for four of us to sleep in (two in the main bed and two on the ground) and the fire kept the chill out for out cold night. Everything about this site was perfect. Definitely coming back here with family in the future! Thank you so much Mike and Carrie for making this weekend special!”
“There is a discrepancy between the listing and the reality. You are paying $180 for an air mattress in a tent in the woods, and that is it. No bedding, no lights, no matches, no way to start a fire, no nothing.
And that’s if you can even find it.
There is potential for this to be a great place. But for now, it feels like I got tricked.”
“Life has made this review a little late, but here it goes: This was my second stay at this site and I just can't get enough. Everything you could possibly need is here besides food and drink. Hey you need to be responsible for SOMETHING. ; ) Carrie was once again a gracious host, especialy since I was late because my GPS wanted to send me to Warren instead of Waldoboro. On my last visit, I saw one person in a kayak on the far side of the lake. This time, I saw nobody! If it's solitude that you're looking for, this is the place. This is absolutely my chosen "me" space to get away and get my head back on straight. Thanks again Carrie and Mike.
