We had a relaxing stay at the Gitigaan. The host was very friendly and made us feel welcome. We stayed for an anniversary trip and she put some flowers out for us. The tent and surrounding area were clean. We added the grill and made steaks and asparagus for dinner. We relaxed on the included Adirondack chairs and watched the night sky by the fire. We found the beds to be very uncomfortable-they’re thinner foam and we felt the wood underneath on our pressure points. We ended up leaving before the second night rather than stay again. Also, there was a bit of noise through the wooded area surrounding the campsite. We heard what sounded like a party. And kids screaming and dogs barking on another property. Of note, this ended by 10pm. Overall it was a nice experience and we would definitely do it again but would bring our own air mattress. Thank you for a great time!

Just got back from our 2 night stay at the Algonquin Gitigaan and could not have been happier! This was our first Tentrr experience, and it certainly delivered! Was w/my husband and 2 teenage sons (18 & 14). The tent was clean, no mold at all and actually more spacious than I had imagined. We paid the upgrade for the linens & it was nice to have the bed made up for us w/crisp, clean white sheets. We hiked to watch the sunset the first night, we hiked through the grounds the next day to the fishing hole and beyond. The view of the mountains and the stars at night were honestly breathtaking. Genavieve was as sweet as could be! She left little gifts for us- told us the story of the land- and texted to make sure we had everything we needed. We read books, played cards, hiked, star gazed and LOVED cooking over the open fire. We spent our drive home talking about our favorite parts (oooh, the hammocks are so comfy!) and we can't wait to come back! 2 thumbs up for The Algonquin Gitigaan!

This site far exceeded our expectations of our first Tentrr experience! Since we are used to tent camping all on our own, we felt truly spoiled by all Algonquin Gitigaan had to offer. Many amenities, not to much all the little extras Gena provided to make our stay comfortable. It was great to hike around the property and down to the fishing hole. How clever is the rock hunt! Wonderful property with wonderful history. Can’t wait to go back in the spring !

Beautiful secluded unique site, host very informative and generous as s’mores, water, sleeping mats and lots of firewood were provided! Definitely will be returning in April to appreciate the magnificent stars.

As a first time camper, I couldn't have asked for a better experience during my time at the Algonquin Gitigaan. The site was absolutely beautiful during the day but, as the sun set and the night sky began to fill itself with stars, the site transformed into something truly special. Genavieve and Dennis made my dog and I feel very welcomed the moment we arrived and had set up a charming getaway for us. Will be back!!

The stay was great. There were so many small extras about the site that made it a more comfortable experience. The first being the position of the bunk in the tent. It provided a safer more spacious layout without having to navigate around the hot tent stove. This was a huge plus with a 4 & 8 yr old with us. The solar lights at night were a nice touch of ambiance. The star gazing was incredible. The creek trail was fun and we wish we wouldve known about the picnic table near the creek because we wouldve packed food to have lunch down there. The hosts were awesome. There was plenty of firewood and water at the site as well. The smores kits were a huge hit with the kids.
