The Algonquin Gitigaan was such an incredible camp site. Dennis and Gena were so accommodating and set the site up beautifully with little touches here and there to make the place feel so warm and inviting. Gena was able to tell us about the history of the land and the interaction between the Algonquin and Iroquois tribes that have settled there (which, being a history nerd myself, I LOVED about the experience). The site was situated on that massive and beautiful farm land, of which we had basically full access to -- just a short hike from the site up one of the sloping hills gave us a breathtaking 360 view of the surrounding area. The tent also faced beautiful rolling mountains which provided a beautiful view to wake up to each morning and the star gazing at night was unforgettable. Gena and Dennis also provided us with more than enough firewood, and fresh, cold water to last us the 3 days we stayed. There was also plenty to do in the surrounding area! My fiancé and I spent one full day hiking the Appalachian Trails to some incredible look-out points. There is also a cute park within 10 minutes from the site that sports a large lake with some water sports and short hikes to a waterfall. I would definitely come back to the Algonquin Gitgaan. We give it a 10/10!

Cute campsite. Nice secluded area with hammocks to relax and enjoy the shade from the woods. Adorable fairy garden gives the place character. Great for relaxing by the fire.

Good folks. Quiet, well organized. Just a cozy place to be after you follow the hidden car track back aways off the paved farm road. Secluded. Quiet. All new solar powered fairy lights and Fairy Garden. Not my thing but cute.

The site is beautiful and well kept, a lot of little extras to make the stay more comfortable. The camp keepers are unbelievably nice and helpful. We thoroughly enjoyed our weekend and would absolutely book again!

What a perfect overnight getaway! The hosts Dennis and Gena were excellent and they provided everything we could have possibly needed. Plenty of fire wood, water, blankets and s’mores supplies for a nice added touch. This was my first experience with Tentrr and definitely won’t be the last. I’m looking forward to my next trip at the Algonquian Gitigaan already!
