“I have absolutely no problem with your product. I think that it is superior and that it makes the right and perfect addition to my Honey Roasted Green Hatch Chile, with roasted onion and garlic preserves. It has become a runaway favorite with my customers and I will continue to use that product in my ingredients. There are two problems that I do have with Green Hatch. One is that I am unable to get this product from you at wholesale prices, either chopped or whole, Two is that I think your customer service does not match the very high quality of your product. Inasmuch as I am interested in larger quantities on a more regular basis and moreover that you do not have this product wholesale it was suggested by Sean that I might try mixing your mild and your hot, (both of which are available at wholesale prices) to see if I might get the right heat. A great idea, but when I asked could I purchase, say, a pound of each so that I could experiment that request was met with a resounding, "no". Frankly, that is not a way to win friends or enemies or more importantly to build confidence and long-standing relationships with your customers. Additionally, when someone does get back to an email or phone inquiry it is usually days after my initial contact and I often feel that your customer service staff really does not want to speak to customers, there is a laissez-faire nonchalance to either helping a customer or to answer their questions. There is nothing to say that in the future I just might be your biggest customer, but right now because I am not I always feel like I am too insignificant. Sean, will not even take an order over the phone while speaking to him, you must speak, perhaps get helped satisfactorily, hang up and then place an order online. He could not be bothered to even tell me that I could save by buying, ten, fifteen, twenty or more pounds of the mild-hot peppers. I only found that out when I was forced to order online. I have the feeling that you are young people, I am 64, I take orders anyway that my customers will give them to me, sure, it might be inconvenient but I would never let my customers know that it was. Product great, customer service lousy.”
