“Very pleased with the quality of the product. It's so nice to have a bit of New Mexico here in California! I would have given 5 stars but the chili was almost completely defrosted on both deliveries. The box was delivered at 5:30pm. The delivery person said it had been on his vehicle since 8am. Not sure how to solve that problem. I guess the ball is in your court for that one.”

Kathy, In order to keep the shipping as affordable as possible for our customers, we target a delivery temperature of 30-35 degrees. This does result in defrosting in hotter climates. In order to have it delivered colder, we would need to use more dry-ice. The additional dry ice increases the weight and the resulting shipping charge. Best, Preston

“Excellent! The chile was firm meaty and delicious! I like chile a bit hotter than my husband so the mix of Sandia and Big Jim ( I ordered 5lbs of each) was the perfect combo! These will be great for rellenos! Ordering and shipping process was smooth and my chile arrived earlier than expected (across the country) and still frozen. Great experience thank you Hatch Chile Store!”

“The chili arrived in good condition and smelled wonderful. It is just the right kind of hot. I roasted it 3 days after it arrived and there was not any spoiled chilies. Very pleased with my experience, will definitely order again.”

Dear Bernadett, We have offered several options to you and have refunded a part of your purchase price, though "flavor" is very subjective and you had no other objections to the quality of what you received. Since this is a perishable product and the chain of custody has been broken, we can't accept returns, unfortunately. Preston
