“Tried various big bikes , we both ride, and we are not very big. The GS was big when we first saw it, but with the low seat on, a road test was easy for both of us .We bought it and have been to Germany, Days out ,trips et al. Didn't need the low seat. My wife and I now compete for the bars, the weight is low down and can be filtered even with boxes on. Autobahns can be taken quickly at twice the UK limit if you want, steady as a rock. Whats not to like. Specced up like a limo, goes like a GT.....”
“After years of naked bikes, the last being my Suzuki B-King, I have found my love of the open road on this big flat twin. Easy to ride, very comfy and very engaging.
It is no power house and will not do 0 to madness in seconds, but it will be there in the twistys, and while you are stopping for a stretch and to fill up, I will waft past on my big German mile muncher.”
“Owned quite a few bikes now over the years, but the BMW GS1200 is really great all round, with the panniers to go out on a hot day and safely store your helmet and leathers, or go shopping, to having a steady or faster ride in complete comfort.”
