“My primaluna evo300 integrated sounded great with the stock tubes, however these Brimar's in the driver position made a Big difference. Smoother highs with no roll off and wonderful mid range.”

“My Cronus Magnum 3 12au7 center socket does not seem to like this tube. no matter how many Brimars I have tried there was some small amount of hiss in one channel or another. The manufacture of my amp. sold me a NOS 1972 Sylv. tube that is working out just fine.”

“Not rating the product itself! It didn’t work with my system! Those tubes in the VTL 2.5 preamp, were terrible!!!!! The sound was unbearably bright and glaring. I had to replace them and will sell them ASAP!”

“I am very disappointed with the BRIMAR 12AU7 lamp. You presented this tube as perfectly suited to CONRAD-JOHNSON amplifiers, and yet... the sound is at best, warm and honeyed, while restrained as if swimming in marshmallow. The original Yugoslavian 12AU7 lamp that comes with the CONRAD-JOHNSON CAV 50 amplifier is far superior. Much more natural, transparent and without "English" color like this BRIMAR from the sixties. I believe nostalgia convinced you it was a good buy. I can confirm that it is not. I am currently preparing an ad to resell it used ... for a hundred hours. I'll easily lose $ 100 for taking your equally colorful advice ...”
