“I have noticed an improvement after about 100 hours. I have a hard time hearing small differences myself, but I did play some of my most dynamic recordings at very high volumes to see what was what with the new pair of GL 12AX7's in my PL Evo 100, and the GL's definitely improved dynamics and sound stage. I played Killing in the Name Of by Rage Against the Machine at very high volume, and man I'm still shaking in my tennis shoes, it's badass as hell. Just ordered a pair of GL 12au7's for the driver positions, and will see if that improves anything.”

“Purchased these tubes to replace the Mullard reissue 12AX7 In my Yaqin M13S amp...significant improvement. Combined with the NOS Brimar 12AU7 that I purchased and reviewed a couple of weeks ago. Sweet sound. Took the quality of sound of my amp up another notch.”

“I am a guitar player who wanted to improve the sound of a new amplifier. The amp is a Tone King Gremlin. It is a single ended amp that came stock with JJecc83s. The tone was good, but there was too much of a fizzy sound to the tone clean or overdriven. I thought I would take a step up to the Gold Lion Platinum grades. First off, these tubes are dead quiet in this combo guitar amp. Immediately, the fizzy sound is gone. The clean tones are clear and articulate. The overdriven sounds are amazing! This tube is for real. It is not a case of fake hyped gold pins. These tubes really took my amp to another level. I compared the Gold Lions with anos tubes, and high end Chinese tubes. Nothing came close to the full spectrum of sounds that are now available with the Platinum Grade Gold Lions The customer service is excellent, and I believe that I received the tubes in one day. There is no question where my future business is going.”

“I purchased a pair of these (Kevin’s stash) to replace a pair of Tung Sol Gold Pins that were only a couple years old. After reading a lot of mixed reviews as to if these were better or equal I took the chance. They sound amazing. Certainly more bottom end but also finer detail. I’m hearing better clarity with small sounds like lightly tapped cymbals. It’s not an earth shattering difference but they are an upgrade. Highly recommend”
