“Timely delivery, well packaged. Bought these based on reading many (many) reviews. Originally intended to buy the Mullard for my Primaluna but many who bought them said they eventually "moved up" to Gold Lion. So I figured I'd start there and I'm very happy I did. Bass is deep and punchy, mids are slightly softened but still well pronounced and highs remain crisp and clear. Soundstage is broad and deep. Don't know what others would have done but I'm totally happy with Gold Lion. No changes here for the foreseeable future.”

“Having had tube equipment of some sort for more years than I care to remember, I have always been skeptical of "New Reproduction Valves". I've bought just enough pairs of new tubes to realize they can never compare to the NOS tubes of the glory days, until recently. I picked up a pair of 12AX7's and a pair of 12AU7's from Upscale Audio, just to give them a sporting chance to prove their worth. Well, I'm happy to report that the Gold Lions are changing my mind about the NOS vs. new production debate, these new tubes are outstanding from top to bottom, a good tonal balance with an excellent overall presentation. If they prove to have the longevity I'm hoping for, I will be purchasing more of these fine examples from Upscale in the future, I have sixteen small signal tubes in my rig so keeping good quality NOS valves on hand can get pricey, the Gold Lions might just be what my musical taste and bank account have been looking for!”

“I notice the output transformer hum in my Rodgers High Fidelity EHF 100 integrated amplifier has been reduced. I like that. Natural character in voices with proper decay is realized. Artist's lyrics understood clearly. Tubes were burned in for 100 hours to achieve these results.”

“Installed three of these tubes and immediately could tell a difference in sound stage and music detail. Frequency response was much better but on the bright side. I went back and rolled tubes in my main amp and it sounds much better than before. I tried the non cryo and the cryo tubes. The cryo ones where noticeably less harmonic and more quiet.”

“What can I say they are great. They were shipped in a box that can incur a lot of damage and the tubes would still be fine. I do not use these for live equipment but for my stereo. Upscale Audio are great. I also bought the telefunken E88cc sometime ago. It is amazing how the sound changes coming from my speakers. I am no technical wizard. I just plug them in and let my ears do the talking. Quite frankly I do not believe Up Scale Audio would sale but the best anyway so no worries!!!! Go Kevin....”

“Upgraded the generic chinese 12AX7's in my cheapo integrated amplifier that I have in my office and made a huge difference immediately. Great sound that is detailed yet smooth and just sounds musical. A tad expensive, but you definately get what you pay for with this tube, well worth the cost. If you have something you want to inject some good sound in to, this might fit the bill. Just plug these in and forget about them.”
