“Well I do have a pair of those tubes but I didn’t buy it from because you denied to sell it to me because some rules that have about to sell only for customer who’s buy a new PrimaLuna from you guys. But thanks for asking. It’s good so far.”

“At first, I put these tubes into my Primaluna Premium Preamp and see if everyones assessment was actually correct. At first, these tubes did not produce any warmth, lower end response or 3D effect over the stock Primaluna rectifier tubes. Even the highs were bland and did not create any special difference in the sound out of my system. I have a "pure tube" and "pure silver" throughout sound system. My first thoughts were that these tubes did not create any of the enhanced effects everyone claims. I KNOW TUBES, and you need to break them in to reach there full potential. So, I ran them for over 20 hours. Things began to change! First, the highs began to open up! The deep bass came into focus like the earth was shaking in through my speakers! Then came the 3D effect that bloomed almost out of nowhere! The detail is so revealed that I almost forgot that this system already produces highly detailed sound! Some say that a rectifier upgrade does not produce or effect the sound in any specific way. It is just a diode that transfers a/c to d/c. But if the power is super clean when the signal path crosses though it, the sound can be that much more open and powerful! That is exactly what these tubes do! Very clean, powerful and open! Makes my input/output tubes BLOOM! Fantastic addition to my current tube compliment! THANKS Keven and all those at Upscale Audio for bring this tube to us audiophiles!”

“Best rectifier I have ever heard and it's not even burned in. Tube is awesome but company policy sucks for me. I would like another one but now I see I can't get one because I don't have a Primaluna. WTF. I spent good money and now I'm excluded because I don't have that amp. Come on guys.”

“I love my PrimaLuna components. I have the Dialogue Premium Pre and two Dialogue Premium Amps set up as monoblocks. They were all all fabulous and an awesome value right out of the box, but I can't help myself. I rolled the amp EL34s into Genalax Gold Lion KT88s. A definite small improvement. Then I started researching rectifying because I was curious about tube versus solid state. This led to researching the effect of different tubes. That'd me to the Phillips 5R4GYS. They're certainly not cheap, but they turned out to be one of the best and most noticeable mods I've ever made. Wow, what a soundstage!!!!!!! My favorite thing in audio is when I can listen to music and feel like it's live in my room. That's happening with more LPs and CDs than ever before. Streaming iTunes via my Mytek Day has never been so musical. I am one happy puppy and a delighted customer of Upscale Audio.”

“The PHILIPS 5R4GYS is exceptional. I replaced my stock Prima Luna tubes in the Dialog Premium Pre Amp. The sound stage was exceptional out of the box. I am about 50-75 hours in and these tubes sound great. The sound stage is open and natural with a nice warmth.”
