I dropped a pair of these Telefunken E88CCs into new new Cary SLI-100 (along with a pair of 1958 Sylvania 6SN7WGTAs I had been saving for a special occasion) - and I tend to agree with Kevin when he exuberantly states 'These are shockingly good, so neutral and beautiful sounding you will name your next child after me.'. :-) If I were still able to make babies, I might consider doing just that. These little gems are astonishingly transparent and well-balanced from the very precise and well-placed high end, sweet and silky mids, to the very authoritative and CLEAN bottom end. I mean, everything is right where it ought to be. I just don't know how to describe its characteristics and MUSICALITY in terms to do it justice. I've been a tube-rolling HiFi junkie for my entire adult life (I'm 78) and these 6922 types are without a doubt the best I've ver heard. I purchased a matched cryo-treated pair from Kevin's stash. Worth the price? ABSOLUTELY !!!

Bought a pair of 'Kevin's Stash' TELEFUNKEN E88CC / 6922 cryoed to put into my PATHOS INPOL REMIX MK.II...I immediately heard a tightening of the BASS from my Avantgardes...everything was 'cleaner' although perhaps the mids were slightly recessed and thin...after about 1 1/2 hours everything came into its own...vocals were outstanding...I thought we were done...but no...they just continued to get better and better...you could hear EVERYTHING...details I had never heard before...after 4 hours the sound stage was truly holographic...not for one second do I regret having spent the money I did for these tubes...might have saved me money as now I am rethinking my desire to purchase the PATHOS INPOL HERITAGE ...!!! ;)

This Telefunken tube is as great sounding as advertised. Without going into all detail, I had an issue with my Telefunken tube used in my Headphone amplifier. Needless to say I was upset when the tube failed so I called Upascale Audio. All I can say is that Kevin called me personally, made it right and fair! Look, I know these tubes are rare, they are expensive and they are critical to our equipment to make it sound as good as possible. Sometimes NOS tubes may not work correctly, last as long or perform as well as expected...He'll, some are 50 years,or older! If they don't work, there is no one anyone can go after since the manufacturer has long since gone out of business. Therefore you must trust that your dealer tests these tubes and stands by them. When it comes to these NOS tubes, Kevin is your only back up. He has your back and and because he had my back, I will never buy tubes from another dealer.

I just rotated these in to my Schiit Mjolnir 2 headphone amp. They are much more detailed and a little brighter than the Nationals that I had in before. I am driving Grado GS 2000 e's, and I love the sound. Highly recommended with one caveat: if you have balanced inputs and outputs, use them. I found these tubes to be way too bright and somewhat unforgiving with single-ended connections. Good times.

These tubes are just....WOW! The Telefunkens come off as being very natural sounding, and airy. These little gems DO bring out the best of my system. I also own a pair of Siemens E88CC's, which are up there with these Telefunkens. I bought the Gold grade Telefunkens, and as I said. Very happy with them! $189 a tube is a lot of money. But audio bliss doesn't come cheap. You will get what you pay for. These are without a doubt worth the money! Thank you to everyone at Upscale Audio!

I recently bought a Manley Steelhead which right out of the box is just outstanding! I talked with Kevin about tubes and ordered a pair of Telefunken E88CC tubes. What a nice sounding tube, they simply give you more, extended, clean, quiet, Open and most importantly very Musical . Highly recommended thanks Rich Irons

This tube is fantastic. Clean and clear and with a much more 3D sound to it. I also have tried a Philips pcc88 in the same mic. Also very clear but the 3D aspect of the Tele is just fantastic.

I needed tubes for a line stage and phono stage, 4 each. So I asked Kevin, I needed a quiet, musical tube. He recommended the Telefunken E88cc/6922. I'm glad he did, this tube sounds so right, musical, quiet, perfectly balanced. I got a second set for down the road. These gold pins are supreme, get some!
