Was between this rower and a concept 2 that I’m used to using at the gym. The quality seems identical, maybe a little more sturdy w the Vulcan rower. Also like the skull!

The Skull Rower was easy to assemble and seems very well built. I am 6' 250lbs and when I'm rowing it is solid and supports me well. It is very quiet and the operation is smooth. I enjoy the heart monitor that is included. I have been doing 45 min daily and it is a great low impact workout. I would purchase this again.

I was like many. There seems to be next to no info on this so I wanted to review it. I was torn between buying what I was familiar with at a very high price point (concept2) or a Vulcan product (I own a set of Alpha bumper plates). I love the alphas and figured it was worth the “risk” to give the Scull a try. I’m glad I did. I got it on sale and I love it. It’s very similar in style, set up and feel. They also offer the upgrade monitor. I opted to go with the basic. I have zero issues. It has all the information I need. I want to upload a photo but can’t see an option to do so. The screen has all the following posted at the same time (time/calories/pulse/paddle width/stroke rate/500m pace/strokes/watts). It doesn’t have the games I’ve seen on the c2 but I don’t see why that would be an issue. I’m too new to see if there is some historical stat feature. But again that would be a feature I could care less about. I will say the caliries feel to add up mush quicker on this than the c2. Where I will find that challenging to navigate in the future for WODs that feature rower calories counts, I do not feel this has much difference in the feel of the row. The resistance is consistent through the entire stroke. It rolls easily. Was easy to assemble. Is aesthetically pleasing. Feels durable. The seat is comfortable AND it comes with a heart rate monitor! It uses C batteries which kind of sucks but that’s not a huge deal. The screen illuminates. Has large buttons that are easy to press. The screen activates much faster than the c2 as well. I am excited to use this machine for years to come. In my eyes Vulcan did it again. I gave 4 starts because the calories seem slightly off but that has nothing to do which how much I love this thing. One of my best purchases to date.

I got the Scull Rower after doing quite a bit of research and I'm not dissapointed!! Packaged and shipped very well... I had a minor issue during assembly and service could not have been more helpful!

Love at first row. I debated between the Vulcan Scull and the Concept 2 for weeks and finally went with this one. No regrets. This rower is solid, smooth and works just like a rower should. Would I change anything about the Scull? To echo some other reviews, I'd upgrade the display. It's not terrible, but could be better. With that said, it works and provides the information I'm looking for. Just takes a little getting used to. Overall, I'm very happy with the Vulcan Scull and expect many great workouts from it.

Solid Rower , If your on the fence about making a decision between this and a concept d or erg , The Vulcan is a solid choice ! The rowing is smooth and comfortable , with the phone holder you can use your phone to watch you tube training row sessions or just watch videos, its well built piece of equipment , it really compliments my home gym.
