“I ordered and actually subscribed to a link WaterGuru sent me asking me to subscribe to their monthly replacement of the three pack, C5 cartridges. What arrived in the mail was the mixed pack with two C2 cartridges and one C5 cartridge. I have the sense 2 and have no desire whatsoever for a C2 cartridge at the same price point as the C5.
I reached out and they contacted me to make up for the mishap. They’re sending me the C5 as I had hoped. Now I just have to wait for summer to roll around to give it my first test!”
“S2 expands Chlorine and pH to Alkalinity, Stabilizer and Calcium... and maybe something else I don't know. It takes the weekly/daily water testing task completely away and you have a daily log of how your water is balanced. It's an awesome product and if you pay attention to your pool's health, this is a valuable investment.”
“They're easy to put in and seem to work well. But... I was very disappointed to learn when I received these replacement packs that one of the cassettes measures all the chemicals that can be measured and two of the cassettes only measure a subset of the values. So you have to pick which 2/3 of the time you'll be ok not getting all the numbers. Perhaps this is reasonable to do, but the marketing for the Sense 2 product is NOT transparent at all about this. When I bought the product and the replacement packs, I reasonably expected to be able to measure all of the chemicals they support, all of the time. Water Guru needs to be much more transparent about this approach both for the product itself and also for these replacement packs. It's already annoying enough that they're using the 'inkjet model' of cheap-ish product and expensive but necessary consumables. Not even getting all the numbers all the time is just rubbing salt in the wound. When someone makes a product that can just measure directly without the consumable cassette, I will buy it in a second and drop this.”
