SENSE S2 Reviews

4.2 Rating 447 Reviews
The Sense2 does more chemical testing- I now get total alkalinity, calcium hardness, and cyanuric acid, as we the pH and Free Chlorine as in the sense 1. I had an issue with high cyanuric acid about 2 years ago, and having the unit to a daily check makes it easier to get it addressed before its out of control. It runs reliably, conneted to my home network without a problem, and can select the ideal time of day based on pump flow to test. It does frequent temperature and flow monitoring just like the prior unit. The cartridges are just as easy to change as the original, despite the increased testing. Overall I would consider this a major upgrade that works well.

The S2 is a great step forward from the S1. Both systems take the mystery out of pool chemistry and maintenance. The easy to follow advice each morning takes all the guesswork out of the process and lets you just sit back and enjoy your pool.

I have purchased this system and was really hoping it is as good as was explained. The issues I experience is the following. Since it has been in the pool I have not had a reading that matched my pool store or even the disposable strips that you dip in the water. Next would be that every day the Cassette's life drops like three days. It will never provide 30 days out of a cassette. Lastly there are connection issues with the unit and my WiFi. It continuously gives me a code. I have opened a case and they have had me troubleshoot the unit which didn’t help and now they are sending me a new cassette to see if that will work. The unit doesn’t give me the capability to put in that I have a frog system where my system requires less chlorine . Just a big dissapointment I would really want my money back and send this on its way!!!

I have asked the same question on multiple platforms and have yet to receive a response from any of them! The concept is nice but the website says the SENSES2 can be used in 8 inch skimmers. However, the device is 8.25 inches. We have it floating in the pool using the foam floatation ring that comes with it, but you can't get flow sensing if it isn't in the skimmer. With the money spent, it would be nice to use it as intended.
