“It's still early since I received and startedit up but I've very happy so far. I guess one complaint I have is that it didn't hold as much wine as I hoped...so I bought a second!Darren Gold was who I dealt with and he's been terrific, answering lots of my questions as I tried to load my wine.”

“I had a small Haier wine cooler that gave up the ghost after about 5 years. My wine collection had grown by quite a bit and after doing research for several days I decided that all of my wine needed to be properly stored, not just the really good stuff. There are a ton of options out there but I bit the bullet and went with the more expensive Eurocave Performance 259. There were several reasons I picked this model. The first was that it is not very deep. Where I wanted to place the unit is in my smallish TV room and most of the units just seemed like they would stick out too far from the wall. The second reason I picked this unit was the ability to add a bunch of shelves and adjust the space between the shelves. I wanted all of my wines easily accessible without having to dig to the bottom of a stack. This unit looked like it would work so I ordered it. The ordering process with Wine Enthusiast was excellent. The gentleman that helped me was informative, had answers to all of my questions and efficient. I ordered six extra shelves with the cooler, the extended warranty and the white glove shipping. I was told the unit would arrive in two to four weeks and the shipping company would contact me.I think it was about 9 days later the shipping company contacted me and said they could deliver it on Monday between 9 and 5 but would call an hour before they would deliver. I didn't work that day so I worked around the house and waited. At 4:30 PM they called and said they would be here in twenty minutes. Forty minutes later they showed up. They uncrated the cooler, brought it in the house and set it in place. They also hauled away my old cooler. The unit was suppose to weigh 200 lbs. but it was really easy to move around by myself so I probably could have moved it in but it was nice to not have to deal with the packing material and especially getting rid of my old refrigerator.The cooler is built really well from the interior, the controls, the shelves and the compressor and coils. One thing that I had not planned on was securing it to the wall. My TV room has a really thick carpet so because the unit is 6' tall and not very deep it would have a tendency to tip if you had the door open and several loaded shelves pulled out. Fortunately Eurocave had this all figured out and they provide wall mounting brackets and the associated threaded features on the cooler. I mounted the brackets to a piece of plywood that I painted to match wall, screwed the brackets to the plywood and bolted the plywood to two studs behind the cooler. I then positioned the cooler and used the provided bolts to secure the two halves of the provided angle brackets. The cooler is within a Â½â€� of the wall so you do not see the mounting hardware. This cooler will not fall over, even in a severe earthquake!I waited 48 hours, installed the extra shelves, loaded my wine and turned the cooler on. In 24 hours it had 115 bottles of wine cooled down to a stable 54Â°. I was a little worried about noise and whether the unit would heat up my TV room. Not worries in either case. The unit is very quiet and seems to be pretty efficient.I have all the shelves installed and have around 115-120 bottles in it. I can easily get to any bottle without having to move any. The shelf mounting design is simple, quick to install and the shelves slide smoothly. You can leave more space between two shelves if you happen to have larger bottles but I found the standard 3 Â½â€� between shelves works really well for everything that I have except the sparkling wines.These coolers are pretty expensive but I said it more than once while I was installing it that I was very glad that I had spent the extra money because the quality is there. I'm certain I would have kicked myself if I had purchased a similar unit that was about half the price. Bottom line I am most pleased with this unit. I've only had it a month so hopefully the reliability is there and I get many years of service.One other thing, the shelves have adjustments to compensate for slight variations in the width of the cabinet from top to bottom. The adjustments are simple and when done correctly make each and every shelf slide easily.”

“Unlike other models with quite flexible storage configuration, this is built to store normal sized Bordeaux bottles. Any adjustment to accommodate a mixed bottle sized collections cuts down on storage capacity to such an extent to make it close to useless. It is quiet and works well in higher ambient temperatures... but that is about all I can say good about it. I think my storage capacity was well under 100 bottles (and even then I could not accommodate Burgundy bottles, taller bottles, champagne bottles) without reducing storage to very few bottles. I would have returned it except when it was almost 3 weeks late being delivered I had no choice.”

“Small footprint, needs bracketing to the wall. WOrked nicely in the beginning but after only 4 years and out of warranty the fan motor groans worse by the day,”
