“So far I find Evy refreshingly direct and her lectures are packed with great examples. It would helpful if there were more small achievable personal exercises at each stage to practice. For instance, her "Write down five strengths and five weaknesses about yourself. Then, think about your relationships at work, friendships and family dynamics" felt too broad. Where/how should I should I start? Should I map everyone relationship or three people from each category? Does she expect an essay or note from me? Are there ways to improve my self-objectivity when answering these questions?
Also I am curious about how her techniques would work people who are regularly negatively stereotyped based on one of the many -isms.”
“I wish I’d known a lot of this when I was younger. To genuinely care but get a bit lost in in seeing, listening and articulating that care is frustrating. Practice … start small and build… practice. Then one day, hopefully it will be second nature. I’ll be able to give more to the world and those I love.”
