Fly12 Sport Reviews

Camera is quite good, but only equal to my older GoPros - it does the job but it's no better than a Hero 4. One gripe for a new customer is there are NO INSTRUCTIONS whatsoever and no clues to how any of the mounts work. You have to try and fail and risk breaking something. Outrageous that expensive cams would come with no manual at all. My main huge problem is the SD card which needs formating every time I use it and the port seems - inferior- and I suspect is the real issue. Not really super happy and would seriously consider a different brand in future. The Fly6gen3 is actually worse.

It's very easy to use. Just turn on and go cycling. Fantastic! The image stabilization is very good. In misty or rainy conditions, there's not much to see. But that's a challenge for every camera. One thing I really miss is the possibility to transfer via de app to the iPhone. Now I have to open the port cover after every ride and airdrop them from my iMac to my phone. I know I can buy a dongle, but then again: I have to open the port cover every day. So when you're searching to improve your product: - wireless transfer of the mp4 to the iPhone - wireless charge - maintain file numbering even after formatting.

The video seems more jumpy than on the Fly12

Great device with great video and audio capture. A must-have for any cyclist nowadays. The only disappointment is that the new version still doesn't have any automatic method to update the date and time. Unless you connect to your phone before EVERY ride then the time and date are completely out of sync.

Great battery life and combining front light and camera is great. Blows away GoPro with hardly an hour of battery life and no light.

I really like this Fly 12 sport. It is easy to use and after a two hour ride it still had 70% of battery left. That was with light on low flash and the video set on the second highest frames per second. I did have to purchase an out front mount from another company in order to get the best mounting position because of the way the cables run on my bike. The video was clear enough to be able to read the vehicle’s registration plates. The recharge time was faster than what I expected. I am hoping that the Fly 6 rear camera taillight will get an improvement similar to what this Fly 12 did since the battery life on the Fly 6 could use some improvement. I do feel more secure having front and rear cameras on my bike since I have had problems in the past with motor vehicle and even pedestrians on my rides. Now I can report them to the authorities.

Image quality from the cycliq has been great! Image can be quite noisy for dark environments but the phone and desktop apps make it easy for changing settings and exporting videos.
