“It's smaller than the previous version, and looks better protected from sudden rain. The device seems well made and battery life is much better. You'll only wear it down in the lower flashing setting on a really long marathon. Picture quality is good. Having a guide on the back to what the thing is up to is great but you can't see it when you're riding. Linkage to your phone is useful if you mount it on your bike.
Less good features - the buttons don't have a positive feel and I can't operate them even with thin full finger gloves. I'm not convinced the buttons will outlive the guarantee.
Finally it is pretty pricy. Fair enough, it is the Bentley of the bike cameras, but you can get a fair bike for the price of a Fly 6 & 12 together.
Overall though I do like it and I certainly recommend it to others. I've witnessed successful prosecution of a dangerous driver thanks to a fellow club member's videos from their Cycliq.”
“Excellent product. The only thing I don’t like is that you replaced the flexible retention cable with a rigid one. I had to reuse the cable from my last Fly12 in order to get the cord around and onto my handlebars.”
“I bought this to replace my Fly12CE, which yielded to years of good service. The Sport is much smaller, but the battery life doesn't seem to be impacted. Really, it does everything I expect out of an electronic device. You turn it on and it works. No complicated setup or manuals to fish through. I really, really like that it uses the same mount as the Fly12 CE so all I had to do was attach the tether and mount it. I've looked at several of the recordings and they're fine. I won't ride without it.”
“Great product. Wish there was a bevel around the light so I would know what light I was using. On, flash, etc. Wish I could connect to my head unit and view photos and video from my phone. Love the display and size.”
