The new Fly 12 is definitely a top tier camera: picture quality is crisp, using it is straightforward after familiarizing yourself with the app, battery life is outstanding (especially when using the camera only, but even with low flash or pulse mode), and the 64GB micro SD card allows for recording the entirety of long rides. And the Fly 12 Sport also makes an excellent dash cam: all you need is the GoPro AGBAG-002 "grab bag" and their ASURF-001 "Surf Hero Mount" (and a Fly 12 Universal Adapter), and you are good to go. Bonus: if you hook it up to a longer USB C cord - available at any electronics store - you can record "on the go" in the car indefinitely without draining the battery (actually the Fly 12 Sport battery will be recharged as you drive). The display screen is another welcome improvement, but it will be difficult to use during riding, due to small display and location. Another great feature is the What's not to like? The previous version (Fly 12 CE) had an "auto turn" feature that enabled it to recognize if it was mounted above or below the handlebar. The Fly 12 Sport is set to default to below handlebar mounting, and the orientation has to be changed via the app, if the orientation changes between 2 or more bikes, or dash cam setup. The lanyard to secure the camera to the handlebar used to be elastic, for easy installation and removal, but the new lanyard has no stretch, which makes its use more difficult with wider / thicker handlebars. The control buttons could be a little bit more prominent: fiddling with the buttons during the ride can be hit and miss, especially when wearing full finger gloves. Raised and/or colored buttons would be better - maybe we'll see these on future versions of the Cycliq front light/camera. What is really missed on the Fly 12 Sport is the Alarm function that the Fly 12 CE had: no longer can you "arm" the device to sound an alarm when the camera (or the bike it is mounted to) is moved. But overall this is a great product, well worth the financial investment, as it allows you to record great rides with friends, capture interesting scenery, and document any scary encounters with careless drivers. I liked the Fly 12 CE so much, I bought the (mostly new-and-improved) Fly 12 Sport too, for my wife and/or as a dash cam.

It works fine and is nice and compact. BUT they still have too-short discharge time. I always run out on my regular 4 hour ride (with a couple of short stops). Moreover the battery lifetime is limited (2nd Fly 12, third Fly 6) and they will not service it (replace battery) or design it so we can replace the battery. So they are the only game in town. Serious need to increase battery capacity and to make battery servicable.

I can't use my new Fly12 because I have lost the attachments. I believe my spouse tosses the box into the recycle bin and they are gone. I need these items to use it. Please let me know how to get them and how much I must pay.

Nice camera with amazing battery life, and the headlight is bright enough to be useful in the dark/city riding. My only complaint right now is that the camera is dropping frames between files so when it cuts at the 3 or 10 minute mark however you have it set and you seam the footage together, you will get some jittering as it drops 20 frames or so between clips. I assume this happens while it is writing out the previous file and starting a new one. I do not have this issue on my GoPro, the image stabilization is pretty good, though not on par with the GoPro hero 9 black I also use. All in all any trade offs are far outweighed by the massive battery life. I've used this on regular road group rides and a 60 mile gravel race and it performed great.

So far seems much more reliable than the Fly12CE. The battery life is exceptional, I just wish the image stabilization was a little better. I also wish it could be plugged into an external power source while recording, like the drift cameras can.
