Battery life seems to really be sub par. Battery is certainly not performing to the written specs. The front camera seems to be good for battery life but I don’t typically have the light on for that one. I always like to have the light on for the rear camera even during day rides. That is probably what is causing battery draining but still not to written specs.

Quite like the new Fly12 Sport, it's nice that it's smaller and hope that the battery won't now run down when it's not being used. However I find the brightest light setting to be too dim for confident use and it's REALLY annoying that I can't update the firmware using my (only) work laptop because it won't allow external SD card use and I do not have Admin access to be able to change it. So I can't update it. :-((

I purchased this unit as a refurb replacement for my original purchase, which failed after one moderately rainy ride. Cycliq has a known and longstanding water ingress issue with the Fly 6 (despite its aggressive all weather marketing claims) and even a modest road spray off the back wheel is enough to brick these units (yes, it was mounted correctly with the flap securely closed). That means when you most need them to function, you shouldn't put them on your bike at all because they will die. Why didn't Cycliq replace mine? It was out of warranty period. Did I leave the flap open or do something wrong to invite water ingress? Absolutely not. Why did I buy a replacement? Mainly because I own all the mounts and the cost proposition for switching to any other unit would be prohibitive. But believe me, I looked everywhere for something that would avoid me giving Cycliq any more money.

The product seems solid so far and works as expected. I wish it had ANT+ and could be controlled (eg as a light) from my Garmin so that it would come on/off as I start/end rides. A couple of times I've forgotten to switch it on.

The Mount cost a fortune and the shipping costs and the return process is also a rip off. The Mount has no fitting tolerance so can’t fit on the bike I bought it for. Check out the poor reviews and do something about it.
