“So far it seems that GPS accuracy of my Wahoo roam v2 is significantly worse. It seems that Wahoo needs to be turned on first and Cycliq only after the Wahoo gets GPS signal. But even so, GPS got lost several times during bad weather in the woods. I guess it didn't happen before. If Cycliq fly 12 using Duo Mount really causes the issue, it shouldn't be offered at all.”
“Unfortunately, I had to apply for a warranty. Led signalization was still lighting red, even though the device was fully charged and turned off. But communication from Cycliq was super fast. Otherwise camera worked fine. I appreciate strava overlay. But processing of videos takes quite some time.”
“The camera is very good however the duel bracket costs a fortune, with a terrible returns policy. It has no tolerance to fit varying sizes of handlebars, which is extremely disappointing, Get that right stop charging a fortune for accessories and postage and you’ll have nailed it, in my opinion!”
“After a few weeks I can state, that it simply works. In my opinion the 1/8 mounting seems to not be very durable but it also works until now.
It is a bit pricey I think...”
“I feel disappointed with the CYCLIC support service as they don’t appear to know their products. I contacted them with an issue I had with my Fly6 CE. The issue is that after connecting the charger, the unit LEDs would light Red for approx. 4 seconds then Green for approx. 2 seconds then repeat this sequence and not charge. I was given a standard set of instructions to try and resolve the issue. Nothing worked. I was told that as it was out of warranty there was nothing else they could do and was offered a discount on a new Fly6 Gen3, which I was silly enough to take up.
Later I decided to remove the battery from the Fly6 CE and test it. It was dead. I replaced the battery and the unit charged up. No flashing red and green LEDs, just the normal red while charging and green when fully charged. So, it appears that the flashing red and green while trying to charge the Fly6 CE is an indication of a battery not suitable to be recharged. You’d think support would know the technical details of their products.
On to the Fly6 Gen3. In flashing mode the battery doesn’t last as long as the Fly6 CE did, lasting only approx. 3 hours. It has one less video resolution than the Fly6 CE and no stabilisation setting. The sound recording is a lot clearer. Apart from being lighter and smaller than the Fly6 CE and supporting a 64G micro SD card, to me, they’re much the same. Both are great units and I would never ride on the road without one anymore.”
“Video Quality of excellent but every thing is complicated and messy. Having to connect to laptop to review and download footage is a pain and in todays tech environment make it feel old.
Quality of minting strap very bad on very first time connect Velcro strap the plastic loop broke it is cheap and flimsy for what’s sold as a premium product.”
“I am currently sitting on the fence. This is my third Fly 12 Sport and I have had multiple cameras from the previous models. My current Fly 12 Sport, in my opinion, does not provide clear and crisp video footage, particularly of registration plates. Customer Support has been quite good but I have lost interest in returning the cameras as I have done this numerous times over the years. I have agreed to trial all the provided video resolutions with EIS on and EIS off, to see if I can determine which will give the best footage. It has all been quite frustrating but, as I say, Customer Support has been very good and I hope the issues can be sorted. I have experienced the same problems with my Fly 6 Gen 3.”
