“I have been buying cheaper grill and meat thermometers for years and they have never lasted more than a year. Last year, I upgraded to a Meater thermometer and regretted it almost immediately. It was inconsistent, stopped reading temperatures halfway through cooks, dropped connection, etc.
With the offset smoker I am building, I wanted to make sure I had as much data as possible to tweak the build as I go. I ordered the Fireboard 2, it arrived a few days early/halfway through my first cook, and has been an extremely helpful tool to minimize the learning curve of my new smoker. 6 ports for probes is a big help and will be awesome when I order more ambient probes to test all corners for temperature swings.

“Christmas Eve dinner saved!!! Recvd Fireboard2 as a Christmas present and used it on Christmas Eve. Th cheaper model I was using would drop signal often and I've replaced 3 probes bc of temperature differences. FB2 synced quickly and easily and never lost signal. The app is truly amazing. What saved my cook was the analyze button. It was 7° when I started 5 slabs of ribs and it predicted completion around 9pm. Christmas dinner at my Mom's was at 6pm. I made adjustments due to the prediction and made it to Mom's on time. Ribs were a hit with family and extended family but the best reward was Mom said they were perfect. “I received a Fireboard 2 as a birthday present. Connecting to Bluetooth, WIFI, and Alexa were extremely simple. Having 6 probes allows me to know the temperature on opposite sides of the smoking chamber as well as keeping up with multiple pieces of meat.. The alerts and connection to Alexa allows me to sleep and not be concerned that my fire gets too hot or cold.
If you are not journaling your smokes, you should be. The graph recordings are amazing and extremely helpful. Notes are amazing and really great to help compare subsequent smokes. The predictive feature of the graph was spot on and really helped me plan. Being able to share the session helps my fellow smokers to compare their experiences and allows my guests to see how things are progressing.
Hands down, this is one of the top five best things that I own.”
“I have been smoking for about 8 years and I wish I had found fireboard earlier. Before, I used Maverick, Ispot, apple, and a few other wireless. I had trouble with all. Bluetooth could go out of range easily causing overdone or burnt food. Probes were not accurate. Switching to fireboard was great. I can leave town and still know my food and grill temp. The buttons could be easier to press, and it could be more weather resistant. But I love it.”
