“I bought a FireBoard thermometer 2 1/2 years ago (June 2019). I bought 6 probes, too. I use it about 3-4 times a month. All the probes are still spot-on accurate... and pretty fast, too. Prior to my FireBoard, I went through three Mavericks and easily a dozen or more probes. The Maverick probes lasted about 3-4 months, max, before failing... and when the probe fails, whatever you're cooking at the time fails, too. The wifi aspect of the FireBoard is also a great advantage. I can run to the store in the middle of cooking a brisket, and keep an eye on the pit temp at the same time (it pays to have kids trained to add a split to the firebox when needed). The bottom line is, this is a purchase that you'll never regret.”
