“I used the guru when it came out, a couple versions of the stoker, and now this. This is definitely the best thermometer/controller setup so far, and by far. The software and networking are high caliber, which were issue with other units. I considered the Thermoworks system, but the appear to be rushing to market without testing. This is definitely the better choice. They could have done a better job on the fan quality though, but it gets the job done for now.”

Now I get bombarded hassling me to share my experience. Well ok then, my experience has not been good. “Purchased this from The BBQ HQ a little over a year ago. I immediately had issues so sent it in for repairs. What I received back was a refurbished item that is very unreliable. For clarification, I have a fireboard, MEATER and Masterbuilt probe along with a Taylor ambient thermometer the last three cooks. They all register the same except the Fireboard. Maybe I just have a dud but can’t recommend due to my experience.”
