I am really glad I decided to take the course. Throughout my years of working as a personal trainer I have met and trained quite a few women that found out they were pregnant while I was training them or I started training them when they were postnatal and still struggling with some of the symptoms. This certification has given me the confidence to train them how they should be trained during the stage they are in and it has given me the tools to pass on researched knowledge and help. I enjoyed the course and the material. It is self paced, but I found it easy to get through it and to hold myself accountable.

As a mom myself, as well as a certified personal trainer fitness has always been my self-care method. I found however, during my pregnancy as well as newly postpartum that when a doctor gives you clearance, trainers unless certified in understanding the dynamics of the human body while pregnant/postpartum have the potential to cause significant harm. I fell victim to putting stress and strain on my already weakened core when I was newly postpartum making my recovery months longer. This course was phenomenal. From the mechanics of movement, safety, anatomy and physiology to the signs and symptoms to watch for of a potential weakening/ diastasis recti. I am blessed that as a CPT I now have the ability to safely care for clients in their most vulnerable times & do it safely. Thanks GGS!!

After having my first child, I felt totally out of my depths postpartum. As someone who was previously active and took care of my health, I was completely overwhelmed at the thought of returning to my prior exercise and wellness activities. My body, my mind and my priorities felt so different, I didn't know where to begin! I completed this certification while pregnant with my second child, and it allowed me to prepare myself physically and mentally for the transition ahead - now, I'm feeling prepared and excited to begin to resume activitiy postpartum confidently and safely!

I thought this course covered all the details for pre and postnatal clients. The knowledge of anatomy and physiology is covered for each stage. Trainers will learn the physical aspects of training and also the emotional and mental health concerns to consider. Trainers will be ready to work with any stage of pre/postnatal clients with compassion, knowledge and effective training results.

Such a valuable resource for me as I progress my own pregnancy & postpartum journeys -- the difference between #1 pregnancy and #3 pregnancy has proven a significant pain reduction as my knowledge base increased on how to move and support the changes. I now run Mumma Lifted, small group classes for (mostly) postnatal mummas (a fair few with numerous complications following their pregnancies and deliveries), and to see the effects of the CPPC in action for these ladies has been incredible. These Mummas are growing in confidence as they better understand their own bodies, glowing with the good changes that are affecting their lives holistically and enjoying the feeling of their bodies heal. In addition, it has allowed for a wonderful community of mummas supporting mummas and shared experiences.

The GGS pre/postnatal coaching certification is one of the best ones I’ve taken and highly recommend it to fitness professionals. It’s a resource that I go to time and time again when training my clients.
