It's ok, cabernet is sort of a strange flavor. I guess I might use this in chili...

I have a huge collection of hot sauces. I always finish this one first because the heat is HOTTTT but not so hot that I cannot enjoy it breakfast, lunch, and dinner. You can really smell the Cabernet but you can only slightly taste it. This is perfect for those who like a smokey flavor to their sauce. I am not a fan of smokey sauces, but this one was great!! 4-5 stars!

This is a delicious sauce but it's too hot to enjoy. I love sauces with wine or balsamic vinegar. It gives the sauce that fermented, umami yummyness like Worcestershire sauce. The problem is, I want to pour out a large amount sauce to get enough of that flavor, but that amount of sauce burns the mouth too much. It is a pleasant experience afterward though. The dopamine hit and warm glow of burning embers in the mouth feels good. If any sauce makers are reading, I think this touches on the goal of making a good sauce. The bliss point is when you can apply as much sauce as required to complement the food but not burn the mouth excessively. I guess the difficulty is that all mouths have a different burn threshold. This sauce is above that threshold for me.

This sounded interesting and was well-rated so I gave it a try as one of six sauces I ordered to get free shipping. It was the only one that I tried and had no desire to try it again. The taste was strange. Distinctive and different but not in a good way. Maybe it would be better for cooking or marinating, but as a condiment I can't imagine when I would ever pick this over my favourite sauces. Definite avoid.

I admit that after my first spoon test of this sauce, I wasn't sure it would get much use. Given the Cabernet flavor I immediately wanted to try it with steak. Now I find a reason to grill more steak just to have more of this sauce. If you haven't tried it with a nicely seasoned filet or skirt steak, you are missing out.

Each note comes through and compliments the others well. It’s got a good kick, but it’s not ridiculously spicy.

The flavor is.... OK? When I can actually taste it. It blends in too easily with anything I eat and all I get is some kick from the peppers.

I'm not cabernet person so I immediately tasted it. It's a different sauce and I'll have to experiment with on wings and steaks. The kick is out of this world. Most sauces that are at this level causes me to sneeze because of the peppers. It's my body telling me to monitor how much sauce I taste lol...the heat sneaks up on you for sure. It has a mild sweet taste that seems innocent but then hits your taste-buds in a big way as the heat raise and tingles. I'm beginning the think 7/10 sauces may be my limit...my lips felt the burn for few minutes.
