About Jaques of London:
In 1795 Thomas Jaques took on his 15-year-old son, John as an apprentice. Together they established ‘Thomas Jaques: Manufacturer of Ivory, Hardwoods, Bone and Tunbridge Ware’ in Hatton Garden. We have remained a family run business ever since, with the same unwavering passion for quality games and toys.

Today we are ever-expanding our toy range and have been honoured with over 10 awards in the past five years as a result. Our Mini Minds Hub launched in 2020 to encourage learning at home. This is now stocked with over 150 free resources. We’ve been working for over 230 years to fill the world with more joy and we hope to keep striving for that goal long into the future. “I like that is is 3 in one. We love playing chess and the board is quite handy and is maybe great for travelling as it is portable. The pieces are quite elaborate and good quality. Great value for money as it is not only chess,it has backgammon game and draughts game”

“Its a great back gammon set. Cheap but still beautifully crafted. Excellent value for money. The perfect size to take to friends for a game or keep in the car for a game opportunity. I certainly recommend it.”
