In 1795 Thomas Jaques took on his 15-year-old son, John as an apprentice. Together they established ‘Thomas Jaques: Manufacturer of Ivory, Hardwoods, Bone and Tunbridge Ware’ in Hatton Garden. We have remained a family run business ever since, with the same unwavering passion for quality games and toys.

Today we are ever-expanding our toy range and have been honoured with over 10 awards in the past five years as a result. Our Mini Minds Hub launched in 2020 to encourage learning at home. This is now stocked with over 150 free resources. We’ve been working for over 230 years to fill the world with more joy and we hope to keep striving for that goal long into the future. “Not as good quality as the one I had as a young teenager but pretty good. Really enjoyed playing and remember those old days. My daughters are 6 and 11 and they truly enjoyed playing. We watched a video first on how to play and they were able to play so I was and am really happy.The game itself is of good quality and looks absolutely superb as a gift. Would recommend”
