About Jaques of London:
In 1795 Thomas Jaques took on his 15-year-old son, John as an apprentice. Together they established ‘Thomas Jaques: Manufacturer of Ivory, Hardwoods, Bone and Tunbridge Ware’ in Hatton Garden. We have remained a family run business ever since, with the same unwavering passion for quality games and toys.

Today we are ever-expanding our toy range and have been honoured with over 10 awards in the past five years as a result. Our Mini Minds Hub launched in 2020 to encourage learning at home. This is now stocked with over 150 free resources. We’ve been working for over 230 years to fill the world with more joy and we hope to keep striving for that goal long into the future. “The quality is incredible. Because the price is relatively low, I anticipated a plastic item but what I received was a beautiful wooden board, lined inside with beautiful wooden pieces… so impressed! The parcel presentation was incredible as well.”

“What a delight to receive such a lovely package. There were caricatures of the family on the box and it was all wrapped up in a ribbon. I bought it for my grandson who loved it and who wouldn't? It was very well made and all the pieces fit so perfectly inside the box when its folded in half. Its a perfect size and looks more expensive than it was. I though it was most definitely value for money. I am very happy with my purchase.”
