“For a portable set thats relatively low priced this isnt bad. There are inconsistencies in the pieces when compared side by side but that comes with something thats carved rather then moulded. The pieces would also benefit from being weighted, but as its a portable set the weight needs to be kept down. Board is nicely made and storage for the pieces is good. All it lacks is a clasp to keep the case closed!”

“After looking through Amazon at the other options etc, and reading the reviews, I ordered this as a birthday present for my son. Upon delivery the packaging and the bow was a nice touch. I was quite excited to open the box to look at the chess set, but couldnt as I wouldnt have been able to get the bow back to as it was.On my Son opening it on his birthday, we were both so pleased with the quality and craftsmanship of the chess board and pieces. It looks fantastic!”
“Its not a great chess set, but its not a badone either. Yes, some of the pieces arent perfect and there was a slight chip on the the folding corner but for a beginner as my 6 year old is he says chess mate! the size of the pieces are perfect, and the time which we will have together learning him and my daughter when she is old enough will be priceless. Maybe a little bit pricey if the beginner could trash the thing, but what comes with Chess is respect, and that also comes with learning the game.”
